Tottenham faced Shakhtar Donetsk in a trial match at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Sunday (6/8). Harry Kane opened the hosts’ lead when the game had only been running for 38 minutes.
Kane executed the penalty awarded to The Lilywhites well. The referee pointed to the spot after James Maddison was fouled.
Shakhtar had evened the numbers in the 45th minute. Kevin Kelsey listed his name on the scoreboard.
Kane then put Tottenham back in front five minutes after the break. He scored a header using a cross from the left.
In the 55th minute, Kane scored a hat-trick in this match. He broke into Shakhtar’s goal after receiving a ball from Dejan Kulusevski.
Kane is not satisfied with his three goals. He packed a quattrick after scoring a goal in the 79th minute. Kane scored his fourth goal by grabbing a gag ball that was pushed over by the Shakhtar goalkeeper.
Dane Scarlett scored the closing goal for Ange Postecoglou’s men in stoppage time. Tottenham closed the game with a 5-1 win.
