    Press conference with Iran head coach Carlos Queiroz and striker Medhi Taremi ahead of their World Cup Group B match against Wales.

    Queiroz says the World Cup starts here for Iran after a disappointing first game losing 6-2 to England, he says goalkeeper Alireza Beiranvand cannot feature due to concussion protocols but will be ready to face USA, says Western journalists have a right to ask political questions but the players have a right to answer as they wish and not mix politics and football, what he said to the players after the loss to England, says that they have to look forward to Wales and not look back on the loss to England.

    Taremi talks about the importance of the next two matches, his message for fans and protestors on the street in Iran – saying he has said what he has to say on social media, says their was too much going on around the England game to concentrate on football and now they have two matches to make the nation proud and says the team are not under pressure from the regime back home and are here to play and discuss football.

      Carlos you have to understand us Iranian, if this happing in your country regime start killing your country man or your family you would expect your national team on the world stage stand with people and be their voice
      Trying to run from Answering questions is not way.

      One thing is clear pacifically through Iranian prospect mind that we do not count this team and anything connecting with it as a Iranian national team oh no … our people at the moment putting their life right in middle of street and loosing their lives every night to shout for freedom and
      Condemn and change brutal mullah’s regime and demands to leave power and want new secular and democratic regime instead … in this situation people of Iran demanded their national team stand on people side and refuse playing under regime flag … we the Iranian people never support anything which represents this brutal regime… what we want is our national team to leave the tournament immediately

      It's not about Hijab it's about over throwing Iranian government and replace for a puppet. Iran is the only nation besides Syria that is not a puppet or slave of the west but rest of Muslim nations are.
