If we sign Lenglet that screams to me gross misconduct! How can signing a CB, that we know isn't good enough, contributed to us having one of the worst Premier League defenses last season, be justified at all? I'd be absolutely disgusted 🤢🤢

I dont care for the hating on lenglet from some spurs fans. He may not be the best defender weve ever had but he was a darn site better than most of our defenders were last season. So i can certainly live with him staying at spurs -but it must be in addition to bringing in at least one of our CB targets. But ive never believed we'd bring in TWO new CBs – ive always thought it was likely to be bringing in one new CB (and lenglet staying). That mite not be what people want to hear but this is tottenham (under enic) we are talking about. When under enic have we ever gone out during the summer and filled all the positions that needed filling?

Don’t you think, Sean that the club my have allowed us to fixate on Tapsoba and VDV while progressing other targets more actively? As you say there are some, and who amongst us had decided that Tap and VDV were head and shoulders above all other good CDs before the window started.

If Levy will never spend any money to make us competitive why don't we just bid on players in the Championship/league 1/league2. Still perhaps if Ashley Phillips at £9m is too rich for Levy perhaps those doors are also closed to us as well!!!

I agree on Sangare, but I can't stress enough how much I want to see Dier be no higher on our depth chart than #4. Sanchez, Lloris and Hojbjerg have GOT TO GO, and I can't see how those 3 leaving wouldn't get back enough to pay for Van de Ven.

I have concerns over Lenglet's lack of pace, but on the ball he there is a player who can be fantastic at his best. So I don't mind him that much as at least he contributes some useful things. Could Ange find some role for him that masks his weaknesses perhaps? I would be okay with a double deal tbh. But of course we NEED a first choice cb ahead of him and the current guys.

I don't want Lenglet under any circumstance. Best we have a whole in the defense that keeps poking certain parties in the eye, rather than put a bandit over it! The problem needs to be solved properly!

The bottom line is that Levy doesn't know how to delegate and nor is he decisive enough to manage a big transfer window alone. Why is Scott Munn not in post? He should surely have been having plenty to do with deal negotiations. Scott Munn should be benchmarking Levy against Chelsea where getting transfers done is concerned and his verdict should be a withering 'NOT good enough'. That's maybe why he ISN'T in post. Levy is clinging onto his silo and he's now merely holding the club back. If I haven't seen at least five outgoings (eight is what should have been required by August 15th) and three incomings in the next two weeks, then I will publicly say that Levy is in dereliction of his duties. The squad is already bloated and the income the next financial year will be £50 -70m down courtesy of no Champions League. Levy has had eight weeks to address that, not to mention 4 months of preparatory work after the previous transfer window. He has brought three players in and not one significant outgoing has yet occurred. Not one. Lloris is still there. So is Rodon. So is Sanchez. So is Reguilon. So is Parrott. He went out on tour to Asia and did not have a full time senior professional back home pushing the transfers through. Why not??

VDV at £30mil is a realistic valuation and a good deal – Its not the valuations of players that is causing issues, it is, as always, Levy that is the issue. This window has been a disaster, second choice keeper who is a real gamble, Solomon who was a squad player from Fulham who lets face it – We signed because he was free.

Maddison is a great signing.

We have Richy replacing Kane – A man who has not scored more than 13 goals in a season. Defence let in 63 goals and it is weaker than last season.
