Legendary Crime Figure Roy Shaw talks about a fight he got into with Romford Doormen & how he set out for Revenge! Interview Liam Galvin & Yvette Rowland. Unedited footage from the dvd ‘Roy Shaw – Brute Force’.
Doormen/bouncers, the greatest source of police informants: grass es …..I mean your standing there trading on the fact or pretending you can have a go….not one of these guys had the balls to step up to the plate and have the honour of having it on with Roy shaw. Probably beat a couple of students after it…..how did they look each other in the eye after? Cowards and bluffers….no one will cooperate quicker with the police than a Doorman!
I was brought up in walthamstow you got to know the men to respect very quickly or you paid the price but at the end of the day they were gentleman and if you showed them respect they gave it back unlike today's kids
I ain't gonna speak ill of Roy Shaw as I said earlier in the comments I never new him and he is passed away. What I will say is the doorman in question – Lee Chapman is certainly no mug and a very very capable man, Lee was a decent Judo player and also a decent strongman competitor. In his peak he was easily 22 stone , I have heard as much as 27 stone of muscle not fat. Plus I have seen him in action and despite being a unit of a man he was extremely fast . They say never judge a book by it's cover …….. But if people commenting saw Lee walking down the street I think they may think differently. There are always 2 sides to a story
Pound for pound, I think Roy was the toughest bastard of them all. He was only what, like 5,8 short arms and legs, but built like a fuckin bull and hit like a train. But more importantly he could take a hell of a beating. Lenny hit him full force about 20 times before he went down….and he still went after him when he got up. Asked his manager to talk yhe gloves off so he could attack Lenny but his manager refused. Only one Roy Shaw. Definitely don’t make them like that anymore. And by most accounts he was about the only one who wasn’t a bully.
I was up in the VIP lounge in Romford that night with my old pal big Trevor shelton, Trevor was 6"6 and a black belt in judo, hard man. Roy squared up to us then thought better of it. He was off his head on ginseng and brandy . Nasty man he was make no mistakes
Roy used to train at my old dads gym The Spartan , in chadwell Heath , him and dad used to go drinking in the white horse pubic house next door . A complete gentleman according to dad , smashing fella very polite
I used to watch this on Bravo channel 26 with my Dad💙 & I would buy him the books at Xmas miss him soooooo much xx Love always Fiona ( rip John Kilpatrick 💙💙)

Liam what year was this footage took. Am guessing 2002 or 1990s
Of course he wasn’t a trouble maker… immediately starts a fight because he barred just to prove his point and then pulls out a hammer. Ffs 🤦🏻♂️
Roy reminds me of an intense Norman Wisdom
What a thick sod he is can’t frigging talk properly

My band played a gig hollywoods one night. The support band had an almighty scrap with the bouncers. Ironically the support band was called Gangland!

LEGEND!
Admittedly, would anyone mocking him on here say it to him in real life, away from a keyboard?
He has lovely skin
A proper old school say it how it is man! Even his bed made itself in the morning he was that hard.

Proper Gentlemen these guys from back then you do not fuck with them they will not fuck with you .
Proper little freak…. See him walking down the road and he walks like a mechanical toy with a repair needed……
Roy: I’m not a trouble maker
Also Roy: I went back there with a hammer.
Never blinked once 🤣👍
Bit embarrassing 1. Nightclubs at his age 2 fighting his age.
A real hard one, not a keyboard hard one, only a few around now, he was the real deal, hard, and no need to brag about it, he was hard.
Roy Was No Joke.
There's only 1 guvnor and it ain't roy shaw . Good fighter no denying but lenny mclean RIP .. the true guvnor 👊👊👊👊
His look like Ron Kray. Crazy men.
There's a touching honesty in his eyes.
A man to be trusted, but not crossed.

20 years from now, we’ll be missing these old school brits. Even now. Weve lost our culture
