OK let me spell it out for everyone. Two things. 1) Raya > Toney was money. Arteta wants that with Raya > Havertz. 2) They're both quality keepers in prime age. Whoever ends up #2 will get sold and Arsenal will recoup the money. This makes perfect sense for Arsenal.
Raya will play all Cups and Ramsdale will play prem. Simple

Arsenal fans were SCREAMING last season about how Ramsdale was better than Alisson and Ederson and now they’re on their knees to have Raya come in. SMH.
A lot of people are arguing about who is better. It is clear as day that Raya and Ramsdale are a very similar level. Similar age and tactical style of play.
Doesn't make a huge sense for me, people talk about having competition which generally I think is a good thing but I don't believe that is true with your keeper, there are numerous instances where you will see that having 2 keepers who could be the starter doesn't work in the same way it does with outfield players.
Raya is a good keeper but that 40m could definitely be spent a lot better. Even if it was purely saved for going in for the next really exciting youth product that comes through.
"Utd wanted him before Onana" it's just a horrendous level of waffle. Never seriously linked with him and the quoted price is literally cheaper than Onana before the Onana add ons are even considered. Why didn't they buy him for cheaper if he was first choice? More waffle than an American breakfast.
Raya was not on any fans radar, now that he's linked with Arsenal, everybody is freaking out about Raya. Raya is a good player but fans are extremely fragile

Arsenal dropped off in the title race last season when Saliba got injured and they didnt have a good back-up. Also Gabriel Jesus was injured. Partey got injured and then lost form. Zinchenko also lost form. Ramsdale wasn't to blame.

Well, Arteta likes to have 2 top quality players for each position so it makes sense to me, I honestly think that Matt Turner will move on this window as he needs to be playing regularly to keep his US mens team position.

Great content but can Robbi just be patient when people are talking and stop interrupting. He obviously doesn’t like getting interrupted and he continues speaking when he is making a point but when it’s the other way round, he just interrupts and it makes the talk show a bit awkward.

I would say 40m is a good price if you don't have an established 1st choice keeper. Granted, I think Raya is a slightly better keeper than Ramsdale and much better than Turner, but not 40m worth. Also, we need a striker, Nketiah and Balogun are not top 4 quality by a long chalk. Spend the money where we need it, not on Raya or yet more mids…
Like how these rival fans justify interest in a player based on whether Utd was intersted in him. How does ETH say no to 40m for Raya as first choice then pay 45m for Onana as second choice who he coached at Ajax? Seriously. Unconscious bias is amusing
