We didn't play that well and we still should have won against a strong Villa team on the up.
Our defence had a shocker but that's what pre-season is for. Make these errors now and tighten it for the campaign ahead.

Aston villa look like the real deal and Will be a threat this season. Watkins is going to be a problem for us in this season's two encounters….got a feeling he is going to score again against us… remember Aston villa gave Newcastle their worst defeat last season…. though villa did field their strongest players and we missed joelinton and our best back four. Perhaps Eddie Howe is trying to give emery a false sense of Newcastle United set-up since we play villa first game of the season

Like how Miggy had a great pre-season last year and carried on to have his best ever season for us, I hope the same will happen for Anderson. Still unsure which is his stronger foot.
