CELTIC boss John Kennedy has hit back at Rangers ace Borna Barisic over the best team in Scotland debate.
The Hoops interim manager has told the Croatian that he is “entitled” to say that his side could beat the Ibrox club in a one-off cup tie.
Earlier, Barisic branded Kennedy’s claim that Celtic are still the best team in the country is “the biggest joke of the season”.
Now, ahead of this weekend’s Scottish Cup tie between the teams, Kennedy said: “I’ve seen little comments about this, it’s a matter of opinion.
“People take the comment out of context. I was referring to us going into a cup game and on our day we can still beat the best performing team in the country. That’s purely what it is.
