      I wonder how some of these players will react when they realize they are playing in a Dry Country. Are they prepared to be teetotalers. Obviously a number of the Muslim players understand that part of the culture and will be fine. Some of the others may be in for a culture shock.

      As outlined by others – if he stays the 2 years qualifying period he gets his 36.6 m quid tax free. He earns about 4 m post tax here. That's a NINE fold increase per annum and nearly 100 million quid for his three years deal. You can see why his principals might take a walk. – may be not – he is a multi millionaire already.

      I'm in 2 minds about the SA superleague (I'm certainly no fan of the nation), particularly with regards to how it'll enable Europe's megaclubs to play FFP (with city still being rightly screwed for their past cheating). If club's can cash in on their aging superstars with overpriced bids from SA, then they can compete better for the up-and-coming players needed to replace them. That said, it will still further inflate transfer fees. Ultimately, I guess we have to take on the chin and try to see potential positives – it's not like SA can be stopped or even that they should (if indeed they could be).

      Jordan Henderson is a very decent human being. He is doing what is, in truth, what many would and have done.
      Yes, he and his colleagues are multi millionaire players and we judge them as greedy, but, can anyone say that they wouldn't be tempted tempted?
      Jordan would be missed for the amazing person he is. He will make the most correct decision for him and his family.
