Nottingham Forest’s #nffc Welsh wonderkid is again the topic of conversation today as #premierleague rivals Brentford are about to bid £50 Million for Brennan Johnson. Brentford have already had a £30m bid rejected earlier in the transfer window, but their interest has not disappeared and according to reports it seems like they will attempt to smash their transfer record in order to get Johnson.
With FFP concerns potentially forcing the hand of the Forest owner Marinakis, if Brentford were to offer close to the £50m price tag the club set, then this transfer might actually have some legs. But is Brentford a step up in Brennan Johnson career? Let us know in the comments below.

He is so pivotal to Coops’ fluid front 3 model in the 5-2-1-2 system we all know he wants to play
The front 3 are the most important aspect and in that is a pacey winger capable of playing as a striker & a strong striker capable of going out to the wing to offer an alternative ball

Ain’t a forest or Brentford fan (fan of football) but we have to be honest… from where Brentford have come from ? To what they have now … Brentford clearly have a A+ infrastructure with a stadium that can be developed as their brand grows . Their second season in the premier league and they miss out on a European place by 2pts . Yes they have a brilliant manager but him and dean smith have always praised the owners vision and “infrastructure” and if he did leave for arsenal tomorrow I imagine they’d be just fine . Take this however you wanna but i ain’t sure forest have got close to that as of yet , I ain’t saying they won’t ether but they’ve got a long way to go to catch up with the likes of Brentford and Brighton

Brentford infrastructure isn’t great? Mate that club is a way better side than Forest. In the championship, they were better and their recruitment is impeccable. Meanwhile Forest are still a side facing relegation and FFP regulations.
Don’t want Johnson either and see him joining Villa if anything. But Forest are an Everton in that they’ll only finish 15-18th. Meanwhile Villa and Brentford can finish 6-10th. I can see why Johnson would think of leaving.
I always see Brentford as a third level team. IMO, they could get relegated this season.

– we've finished higher than you consistently most seasons since coming up from league one
– we've finished higher than you this season
– and unlike Forrest, were pushing for European football (we were also very unlucky to not get into Europe this season as well!)
If I'm honest, I would be surprised to see Forrest above us at the end of the season
we've proven that we can win without Toney:
– Liverpool = Win 3-1
– Tottenham = Win 3-1
– Man City = Win 1-0
I think you will find that Johnson staying at Forrest would be more damaging to him than if he was to move to us.
You clearly have no clue how were run and if Frank were to leave (which is so so unlikely) than we would recruit a manager just as good (if not better) due to our recruitment strategy
