If united have genuinely scouted these lads then cool. But if we had got Sancho would we have still bought them I think not just because it was done last minute so if you've scouted players for a long time why would you wait till the final hours of the window to bring them in. Unless they thought Sancho was coming but then I dont they would've signed them two lads
David Silva?!? What a terrible comparison, he's more like a Willian , someone with very good balance and acceleration. more compact than Dan James too so he's able to stand players up rather than James who is pass or run and has hardly any flair.
It depends how a coach find a proper x1 and helped the team to boost their confidence

Purely on youtube clips my view (maybe naively as its youtube clips) is both look talented. But I think Pellestri will really struggle to start off with. I think the step up in quality for him of opposition in pace, strength, experience and ability, a lot of those runs in the clips arent going to come off….looks good but not ready to me either to be starting or on the bench yet, even with James and Mata as his opposition…..looks more a number 10 to me anyway. Diallo on the other hand has such good balance, awareness and ball control I think he can come straight in….he looks to have real start quality. Totally disagree with you Mark on Cavani though….There is the worry of ae, injuries and lack of games last season….But if he can stay fit and is still quite sharp, is still one of the worlds best strikers and certainly one of the leagues best strikers. He may be another Falcao….but he may also be an absolute bargain of a deal short term, well worth the risk for me as a huge step up on Ighalo regardless who goes in January and quite possibly a big step up certainly in terms of consistency and team play on Martial
