The Canadians really need to do better at gauging the competition because a lot of US supporters felt like this game was going to be close. The main reason being our team being the worst version we could ever imagine with boring tactics that could be best described as cross and hope for the best. This game mainly proves how much the Canadians lack, the gap between the US and Canada is wide. Was really hoping for the Canucks to be our next rival but it seems like we might have to look else where. Oh well
This was the US "C" team, and that's being kind. They were missing at least their top 5 offensive players – Pulisic, Balogun, Weah, Pepi, Aaronson, McKennie, Reyna….
Also missing defenders like Walker Zimmerman, Sergino Dest, Antonee Robinson, etc.
Lets look at this from an objective approach. The only reason why Canada had a chance at winning was because the U.S. allowed them to be. Now granted, Canada took advantage of those chances.
At least we identified some depth and replacements for older guys. Still no CB depth however. I imagine if we stick with 3 at the back its Johnston, Miller and whoever claims the 3rd spot. McGraw was okay enough to earn another look but im not sure he surpassed Cornelius yet
We are such a country of losers… does Canada lead the world in breeding losers and then talking how great we were.. The USA beat us with their B team.. we were up 2-1 and choke and score on our own net! HELLO! help me out

The play ugly and bunker game plan worked for Canada. US did not handle that well and got lucky to get by.

I'm an American fan but I'm curious how you feel about Herdman. Coming off a underwhelming WC where you got 0 points, winning a trophy in Concacaf seemed like the next natural progression for Canada. Now you are going to go through another summer without a trophy. And if you can't beat the US A team in a final and a US B team in a quarterfinal. How do you expect to win any games at the Copa America?
If this was Stephen Vitoria's last game, I just want to say how proud I am of him because of the way he played last night (and throughout the last four years of WCQ). Vitoria's performance was a test of heart… He showed up…
