Im soooooo happy Xhaka left, this one I really dont understadn our fan, how he could have a song after what he did, how fan can say he is a legend or are acting a players how perform for years is leaving. 7 years, 2 good years (last season very good) before that average at best, players receive abuse online all the time, all players are saying it has to stop but he never saw a players did that, our fan are making excuse for him all the time

He threw the armband. As a result he lost captaincy and was hounded by the fans for years. Most players would run from that, but he didnt. He chose to stay, shut his mouth and totally change himself. He was level headed, didnt get in fights, encouraged the team, applauded the fans (even though they shouted abuse) gave 100% on the pitch. He played the best football of his life and helped drag us out of Arsenals lowest point ever. That is commendable. Its not about the mistakes you make, its about what you do to make yourself better.

I never rated Xhaka a bit and one good season wont change my mind. I didnt like what he did that day, but it was pure emotion, nothing more than that. I`m happy he is out of the club, but he desrves the credit for the last season. I think saying Arsenal fans lack any principals, when you wax lyrical about John Terry is a bit hypocritical

He was always a player destined to play in the 90's football era in my opinion….tough tackling, shoulder barging forceful midfielder….can not let a grudge go in games…hustle n bustle kind of player.
That type of player was so sought after in the 80's, 90's. They ran the rule over your team actually winning games. They were invaluable.

……now with VAR, and replays in the modern game….this kind of player doesnt stand a chance. They are more a liability than a game winner….because they get booked early and cant influence a game….or simply get sent off and your on the back foot down to ten men…..its a shame.
Can you imagine the likes of Keane, Vieira, Edgar Davids, Gattusso, Vinnie Jones and many more…..all legends at their craft….playing in todays modern snow flake era of football???? They would all have a worse record than Xhaka for sending off's n descipline …..and for that reason not be put in the legend bracket.
He will always be the player that "should of been" in my book, but will only be remembered for the nonsense that he created costing us games. He neaver learned to adapt his style and attitude to suit todays modern game.
People like Rodri and Casemiro have mastered adapting being an enforcer in todays game by using their feet and body in much more clever ways…..Xhaka was to busy letting the red mist control his emotions instead…and once it took hold it just made him a liability on the pitch.
I do think he tried, and loved the club….but bar last season he had a dissapointing time in an Arsenal shirt. I wish him all the best….but fact is, he was not what we needed to bring in the best silverware.
