Is Liverpool Preparing A £77 Million Offer For Federico Valverde?

The club has already made two midfield signings this summer, bringing in Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai. However, following a disappointing fifth-place finish last season, Jurgen Klopp is determined to strengthen the squad further.
Liverpool is set to make a £77 million offer for Valverde, who now faces increased competition in the Real Madrid lineup with the arrival of Jude Bellingham. Valverde is part of a group of young midfielders at Los Blancos, including Aurelien Tchouameni, Eduardo Camavinga, and Valverde himself, along with experienced players Luka Modric and Toni Kroos.
Valverde or another young midfielder could potentially leave. However, Real Madrid is reportedly reluctant to let go of their younger players permanently, especially with Modric and Kroos approaching the later stages of their careers. This could make it difficult for Liverpool to strike a deal.
Valverde has been a regular presence at the Santiago Bernabeu for four seasons and his versatility, being able to play as a right-winger, has allowed Real Madrid to accommodate their midfielders more effectively. Liverpool’s interest in Valverde is said to have arisen after missing out on Bellingham, as Klopp seems keen on further strengthening the midfield.
Liverpool is willing to let Thiago Alcantara leave this summer. The Spaniard joined the club for £20 million from Bayern Munich three years ago, but his recurring injury issues have limited his appearances in the first team. Liverpool is reportedly open to allowing him to leave in order to remove his high wage from their books. While the club acknowledges that they won’t recoup a substantial fee for Thiago, they are determined not to let him go on a free transfer during this transfer window.
If Thiago departs, he will join a list of players who have already left Anfield this summer, including James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita, and Roberto Firmino, who recently completed a move to Al-Ahli.
