It comes just a year after then PSG and now Everton midfielder Idrissa Gana Gueye was alleged to have done likewise.

I really don't see why discrimination of any kind has to exist at all. It's so dumb. Let people do what they want unless it's actively hurting people. Having an identity (sexual, racial or otherwise) that doesn't conform to society's norms does not and should not make you less of a person. Being who they are does not actively hurt anyone. Let people be who they want to be, and they and the people around them will be all the happier for it as they will no longer be uncomfortable in who they are.

I understand that world football has always been, and largely remains, a bulwark of aggressive and often toxic machismo.
However, in my country (the US), our league is arguably one of the most progressive top flights in the world. I credit the demographics of the sport's primary supporter base. Football fans in America (by which, I mean ⚽, not 🏈) are, on the whole, the youngest of any major sport in the country. Most American fans have grown up in a climate in which LBGTQ people are far less likely to be closeted, and in which the issue is discussed openly. In the US, football (again – ⚽, not 🏈) fans tend to be far more politically progressive than are fans of other sports. Obviously, this is not universal. Many American fans are not young (example: I'm 52, and a life long, die hard fan), and certainly some fans are politically conservative.
However, it is quite common to see Pride flags in the supporter section of MLS stadia. Many MLS clubs have supporter groups which emphasize links to the LBGTQ community. And many American ultra groups, even those of clubs rival to each other, claim friendly relations with European clubs known for left wing sympathies such as St Pauli and Celtic FC.
American fans take a lot of abuse from European fans for any number of reasons… "Plastic", "MLS isn't competitive", "Childish understanding of the game", etc. Even if one agrees with those assessments (I agree with none of them), American fans deserve credit for their principled stance on issues of social justice.

As a gay man I have no problem with people who don’t except homosexuality for religious reasons or just personal reasons. Everyone has the right to their own opinion and views and I see no point in trying to change their minds as long as they don’t go out attacking gay/trans people I don’t care

One thing I would mention is that I think the way the message of no homophobia is being spread isn’t right. Like as a straight individual your average Joe just periodically doesn’t want to wear a rainbow flag because of the connotation it has with LGBTQ. That’s not homophobia, that’s just the fact that you don’t want to wear something that’s connected away from your sexuality. However they are forced to wear these shirts and if they refuse than it comes of as a valid point to the homophobia campaign argument made in the video which I agree with.

I don’t agree with homosexuality, but I definitely wouldn’t want them to be attacked or discriminated against especially me being a black male I know how it feels. My problem is how it’s being shoved down peoples throat. Treat people how you would want to be treat & I would’ve definitely played in those competitions to show that I truly to support & believe there should be no violence or discrimination about someone’s sexuality. We all people but do to us being raised in different cultures around the world it’s just not tolerated everywhere but do it will grace & don’t attack everyone who doesn’t absolutely love that your homosexual.
