  1. Szbozalai was too expensive. That’s why we didn’t go there. I’ve got one football source and it’s a bit tenuous but it’s always right. They say that Newcastle have a scary good scouting network. The database they have compiled on their targets is astonishingly comprehensive. Nothing is missed. When Szbozalai was ruled out as too spendy the next target was acquired and they shifted focus. They are also constantly adding new circumstantial factors to their algorithm on players. I know all modern teams have this but I’m told the Yoons is second to none. So, what I know is that’s Szbozalai alternative, Tierney and MacTominay are all active targets’, the players know they are and so do their agents. Newcastle are waiting, however, for other factors to play out and, unfortunately, I haven’t got a scooby what these other factors are but I think they are relating to other players movements and availability.

  2. Proposed rule change would just move to is the defenders toenail overlapping with the forwards body. There would still be lines with VAR and the controversy would still remain. Until there is a ‘margin for error’ with offside that allows for linesman/referee leeway there will always be controversy. Even then the arguments would still rage.

  3. This feels like a Mike Ashley transfer window. Livramento deal dead lost 2 main midfield targets. Now we will go for Gallager of Chelsea. Joke man

  4. Congrats on 21k – well-deserved – great range of NUFC content: regular updates with quality discussion and insights – and all-round good vibes from the whole TTR team and community. Onto 50k!

  5. I watched Ferran Torres live in the stadium in the Barcelona vs Real Madrid is an ordinary player. The current Newcastle attackers are better than him, and Manchester City sold him because he is a bad player

  6. As frustrating as things seem they always seem to pull something off the owners know what they are doing mind a was bit pissed off we missed out to Liverpool with the last target but am sure we will do ok going forward

  7. Has there been any further links to LB’s? I mean, I love Dan Burn, but let’s face it, he’s not a LB. I don’t want to take anything away from the bloke as he put some solid shifts in etc.
But we were linked with Hernandez for around 30 seconds at one point, and if that turned from fantasy to reality, for me that would be the stand out signing of the season.

  8. Imagine FIFA going back to daylight between attacker and defender in the offside…what was the point in changing it in the first place..?
