Fantastic Business
THANK YOU DAVE BANGING ON AGAIN CONOR HAS GONE IF COLLINS GOES SO FAR OVER £75 MILLION IN WERE ANY PLAYERS ZERO SOMETHING FISHY GOING ON
Good bit of business from the club after paying £2M for him at least we got more money than what Everton were going to pay for him and good luck to him playing there been a great servant to the club in our rise to the premier league.
For me, as a United fan, I think that Coady is getting too old..but great player for the club.
Great bit of business and a good purchase for Leicester they will definitely be promoted next year.Good luck Conor and thanks for helping wolves getting to the premier league. Alan
And yet Everton could have had him for £4.5 million. Shi does not know what he is doing!
Whatever the money etc Coady is a Wolves legend and we owe him so much. All the best to him. Maybe one day he'll be back as a coach or manager. I'm sure he'd be top rate. Natural leader.
Mixed feelings on this one, firstly a great business move in terms of financial gain for Wolves and nobody could argue with that, kind of wondering though whether we could regret this during the 23/24 season as his experience can steady a ship and this is something that we lacked last year, time will tell I suppose. No doubt though Coady has been an integral and key part of the best side we've had in the last 40 years.
If Collins goes as well for the reported £25M then between Neves, Collins and Coady we have amassed £80.5M.
Given the FFP mess then it's going to take some smart business to bring in the quality that we need for the upcoming season to make sure we steer clear of a relegation dogfight.
You cannot mention his playing shortcomings without mentioning his near exemplary service to Wolves. Don't confuse his gobby associates and slightly difficult exit to Everton with what he helped to achieve under Nuno.
Great deal for Wolves!
Sorry 2 see him go all ther best a foxes 👍🐺
Good business for the club, but we should all say a massive thank you to Conor for all that he has given to our club, on & off the pitch. All the best to him
Hiya Dave, I have mixed feelings about this! I know Wolves need the funds, and it is good business, but I can't help but to feel a bit sorry for Coady! I hope he comes back to the Premier league, next season! COYW, Always Wolves 🐺
Thats it Leicester are back up
Thank you Conor Coady. A fantastic ambassador for the club and a loyal and dedicated servant. Thanks for the memories. Good luck for the future.
Great team captain for wolves we lost our defence shape when he wasn’t selected
How have they got 8.5m for him😱😱😱😱
Dave, I learned a few things about Coady. During lockdown etc his wife wanted to be nearer their family in the NW. She moved up there with the kids and Conor moved out of the house into a flat. Also Everton paid a £10 million loan fee plus his wages obviously. That is why the final optional fee would have been £4.5 million. Which was a better deal for Everton than the straight £16 million they were asked for a permanent move at the time. Apparently Wolves didn’t want to stand in his way due to his service and family issues living apart.
Obviously Lage wanted to move to a back four and we all know it’s not Coady’s best formation to play in.
Also the blowout last season under Lage from knocking on a Champions League place in February to finishing tenth was a disaster, but Coady didn’t look the same to me.
I still think the centre back we missed most last season was Saiss, who’s performances in the World Cup showed.
Thanks for your service Connor, you were part of the best Wolves team we have had for a long time and I don’t think it will be as good again in the foreseeable future 😕
Good business by the club, a massive thank you goes out to Conor for his years of service to us, his leadership on the field, got to love his non stop talking while playing
another good player leaving. Wolves relegation candidates at this rate
mean while Villa sign Torres!
