Why did Liverpool sell Joe Allen. Because who would you bench so he could play? Emre? Lallana? Hendo? Fine boy that he is, he was surplus to requirements.

They are talking about if we had allen, he would be competing with can and Lallana, but if we kept allen and never got wijnaldum, lucas would be his main competiton because lucas is a quality player
Allen is good in my book although he probably wouldn't get first team footy, Gini, Hendo, Can, and Lallana are all class players to challenge for a spot, I think he fits well as a standout player at a smaller club
Allen is good, but he would be a squad player today. He is not a high pressure player. He might replace Gini, but that is it. But I would pick Can before Allan.
