The international games hamper the season with pointless international matches
Went to new york injured and was cycling around. Pretty sure 4 and a half hours work a week is awful imagine doing a 4 on 4 off 12 hours shift on min wage. Poor grown men 😢
These international friendlies make the club millions in one off cash thats why they do it and to spread there brands globally.

The expansion of the European competitions is one of the biggest driving factors. Its devalued the premier competion imo as we have group games which are nonsense like Kazakh farmers being cannon fodder for your Bayern's, Madrid's etc. Revert it to a straight 2 leg knockout competition with the away goals rule reinstated. That would reduce the number games and increase the value of the fixtures. Won't happen though as the game is governed by greed.
Marcus Rashford isn't the only one to complain about the schedule list. We've heard players like Kevin De Bruyne Virgil Van Dijk, complain about scheduling and the amount of games the players have had to play even managers like Erik Ten Hag, Jurgen Klopp, and Pep Guardiola have had some complaints about the amount of football the players are playing and the congested schedules. The players are gonna get ran into the ground at some point because they are playing too much football right now and it could have an impact on players and more injuries will start to kick in. There was a stat the other day I saw and from August 2022-June 2023, Bruno Fernandes has played 70 games for club and country and yes there was a World Cup in the middle of the season and they played for their countries, but shouldn't that be a concern right there, we've seen players play a ridiculous amount of games and overall physically it'll impact the players because they're not robots, the schedules are grueling and the players and managers have to accept it.

Well they want the worldwide recognition and riches that come with being a big club which allows them to spend more on signings..
Simple stay in england and play local teams in friendlies, but dont expect as much financial reward..

I personally think we should a gradual salary cap to manage football wages in this country. If wages can be managed then it might just become a sustainable industry.
The issue is that with the Saudis now offering ridiculous contracts you have the issue that the premier league would become less attractive but I don’t care, I’d always watch the prem, no matter who plays in it.

Sorry I used to play sunday Wednesdays and Saturday for 2 teams for like 6 years I never moaned once I wasn't even payed if I was payed 300k a week I would play 350 games a year if that's the wages
Why is it that the players' salaries 'can't' be capped but their working hours 'should' be capped? I am in favour of players' welfare and I also think even the best players are way overpaid. Reduce wages along with working hours (like for everyone).

If there’s a cut in fixture list, there will be a corresponding & commensurate pay cut. Cut fixture list 20% = all player wages down by 20%. Problem solved.
