  1. Just some thoughts, if he goes to Norwich.
Are we content with Sargent's ceiling – a player in a bottom half team in a top 5 league?
Will he be deprived of service, just like when he was in Bremen? Which in turn may stunt his striker instincts and finishing ability.

  2. It's pronounced Nor Ridge he well definitely be behind Teemu Pukki in the squad but he is someone that I hope will grow and develop at the club

  3. I like these types of videos. One full video for each player transfer or transfer rumors and in depth info. Hopefully Josh can take his game to another level with Norwich.

  4. As a Norwich fan I’m excited to see Josh’s arrival. He looks like an exciting talent and we are crying out for a successor to the ageing but still lethal Teemu Pukki. If he works hard, he will get his chances to show what he is about

  5. It’s a good move for Sargent. He will have to fight for playing time and capitalize on opportunities which can be rare for a striker on a promoted club in The Premier League. Stay hungry Josh!!!

  6. As a Norwich fan we're very good at developing young player and giving them plenty of chances in the first team some examples include Todd cantwell , max Aarons and Adam idah . We have pukki who can score 10-15 + goals in the premier League so Sargent would most likely be a backup/rotation player but I'm sure he'll be able to grow and develop as a player with us .

  7. I really hope Josh gets some quality playing time at Norwich. I am afraid the Norwich squad won't provide him a lot of scoring opportunities… Come on Canaries. Our boy needs some goals.

  8. He has the chance to gain playing time as the second choice striker as a late game sub or during cup games. Does anyone know what type of lineup they like to play at Norwich? Do they ever play with a two striker set?

  9. Hopefully he can perform for us (NCFC) in the premier league, best league in the world and we need goals. FYI it's pronounced without the 'W' 👍

  10. As a Werder Bremen fan I can tell: Josh Sargent may be a nice guy and a worker on the field, but besides that he truly is the paradigm of an average professional football player.

  11. I'm a norwich fan and i'm truly exited about sargent, one of the best players in the werder team and will deliver good in the cup and as a back up side

  12. As someone who has watched a lot of Bundesliga last year I must say that I am not quite sure about Sargent being ready for the Premier League, he has a great work ethic and has always been regarded as a talent that‘s about to explode here in Germany but that step up never quite came, he misses a lot of chances and even though he‘s ready to put in the work he doesn’t seem to be complete enough to compete in the Prem. He‘s to good for the second Bundesliga but I am doubting that a move to Norwich is the correct one, nonetheless I‘ll be excited to watch what’s next for him.

  13. As a Norwich fan, I’m excited to see him come in, and whilst Pukki will still be our first choice striker, we wouldn’t be spending that much money if we weren’t going to play him. He might play behind Pukki or on a wing sometimes, which I hear he did at Bremen too

  14. The EPL is a cut throat league… as a player, you'll get your chance but if you dont produce as expected, you wont see the field for another 30 days, if lucky. I'd prefer Sargent and Hoppe to stay in Germany.

New topic for you; a video about dual nat mexican-americans choosing mexico.. efra, ochoa are gone, gomez araujo and ledezma seem to be on the wagon… we need to retain, pepi, cowell and gomez… I know Alcala is only 15 but he'll be a baller.

  15. I'm glad he's coming to Norwich yes we have Pukki but the last time in the prem Pukki ended up struggling so I think Sargent will be that man to help him out, also Pukki who is our main striker scored 26 last season for us and has scored 67 goals in 126 games with 17 assists overall which is a really impressive record but I'm sure Sargent will get game time as he will need help and we've spent £10 mil on him can't wait to see what he can do 💚💛💚💛

  16. As a Bremen fan I think it’s kinda sad because he could’ve had a great season with us and then make a bigger move to a bigger club. But the money is very important for us right now.

  17. It’s a perfect step up for him. He’ll be a key player on a good team. This could be the perfect exposure that could lead him into the next stage of his career.

  18. EPL is almost never good for Americans. Really only Everton and Fulham have ever shown any trust in American players outside occasionally goal keepers. So, I'm not necessarily happy to see Sargent in the EPL. The only thing positive here is Pukki is 31 and if they manage to stay in the EPL, Sargent could inherit a decent position. But, yeah, don't give a darn about the EPL.

  19. Norwich have been very good the past 2-3 seasons at getting very good young players and polishing the edges. What they see in Josh is something they can get him to improve on and use to the team's advantage.

  20. In my opinion this is the most exciting move of the summer for the USMNT. Sargent is a very talented striker, and instinctively has such great awareness/quality. To be competing in the EPL is one thing…but change of scenery, and the opportunity to cement himself as the true #9 for the US..I think he steps up.

  21. Cool channel, keep up the good work.

Just a quick tip for other Americans who may be interested in following Norwich this season…in England, the city is pronounced “Nor-rich” (albeit without any separation between the two “w” is not really audible. If you’re born and bred in Norwich, and of a certain age/background, you might pronounce the city as “Naridge”, with more of a “-ij” sound than a “ich” sound at the end. But generally speaking, most people in the UK pronounce it as “Nor-rich”. I hope that helps!

  22. As a Norwich fan it’s exciting to see Josh arrive with us. We’re a club that gives players a chance so hopefully he’ll do well for us. As a club we also have Sebastian Soto on our books who’s just gone out on loan to FC Porto.

  23. On goal scoring ability, he'll probably be third place here. So the question is whether the club see him as a player for the future, or for utilising this season.

For sure he won't be starting ahead of Teemu Pukki, and our second forward (Adam Idah) has been looking very fired up in pre-season. Also, historically I very much doubt we'll start with 2 forwards either.

So gametime is the big question, i feel the club eyes him as a future prospect who can grow under our guidance. But also, he offers us an unknown wildcard to bring on in last 15 minutes of games to see what he's got, and put himself around. There's also the league and FA cup games, which I'm sure he'll start.

Teemu Pukki is a modern day club legend, and will be incredibly hard to displace – his strike rate is a goal every 2 games, and right now Sargent has not came anywhere near those numbers.

Excited by the signing though, he definitely has potential.

  24. No judgement for not knowing this as we're quite an obscure club globally. But our record in improving young players under Daniel Farke is exceptional. There is literally no place in England better for a young players development than Norwich. It's the combination of an amazing coach who will improve him, forgiving fans who won't get on his back and the opportunity to play PL level football.
