I think we should go for cornet or sosa for the LB or LWB position also martin terrier from rennes he can play along the front 3 but primarily as a LW also scored 21 goals last season . 2 or all three of them would sort the left side out add pace and also give moyes options as they can all play in different positions…COYI⚒

What we'd be buying in Amadou Onana is potential – at just 20 years old this lad could be phenomenal or he could turn out to be just average – he's got 1 full Belgian cap so he's considered good enough to play for one of the best International sides in football today [ ranked 2nd behind Brazil ] – he's got some way to go but if he develops then in 3-5 years time we could have another £100m on our books or he could turn out to be worth £15-20m – that's the gamble we'd be taking .
Along with the interest in Broja this is a new way of thinking for West Ham and I for one am excited .
Go for it – sign him up for £35m with add-ons if he wins further caps etc .

It's 6 days until the start of the season, but it's 30 days until the window closes, plenty of time for new signings.
If we get turned down we just have to move on, we have wasted too much time already trying to ‘convince’ that other bloke from Man U who will remain nameless! – we can’t make the same mistake with Kostic. We have time to make the signings we need but we need to get them done ASAP.

We gambled last Jan for the fruits in this window & I'd argue that currently, we are going into this season considerably weaker than last season.

On another note: love to know if our medical team should have picked up on Agured's injury & if this was a known concern. Also love to see ye interview someone in this field, an ex-West Ham medical team member or some such, that hasn't signed an NDA.
The kostic business is becoming like Lingard. He is seeing if two other clubs come in for him first. Then he will take 3rd best. Are we the only club that allows this sort of stance and behaviour? If they are being dragged to the contract table then let's please please move on. Again he is not the only left sided player in the world. My goodness I despair. New flash the hammer dont have a team this season, they need to start buying players their core players are burnt out because they are over played ,now that they are in the champion league I don't see them competing in the EPL and champion league with any real attempt to win anything due to the amount of games that have to be played within both tournaments these players are going to be over played and I can see because of that alot of Injuries.we clearly see that the team didn't have what it takes to maintain a successful momentum to be in the top 5 last season we clearly see the players were all lethargic by mid season

I think he could play a massive part in putting defenders under pressure, Him and Antonio bursting forward together a proper handful. I also think he's previous premier League experience could help him to hit the ground running for us.

id prefer either Borna Sosa or Luca Pellegrini as a left back, either that or Maxwell Cornet who can play anywhere down the left ….. would happily sell either Benrahma or Vlasic or even both to bolster the transfer kitty to ensure we bring in Onana and some quality down the left … personally i think we need both a left winger AND a left back…….. Maxwell Cornet, plus a good left back and Onana would be amazing business and id happily sell Benrahma and Vlasic to help fund that

With players in so far and those players who have gone ..and also factoring in Aguerd’s injury and nursing Ogbonna back, we are worse off in squad depth then we were last season and it was already a thin squad esp competing in 4 competitions. Let’s not forget that Dec is also banned for the first Euro game. Of course we need quality in the team like Onana but we also need a couple more decent players to bolster the squad.
Never been a fan of having to persuade players to come to us, like Kostic. If they are not that keen from the start, like Scamacca was, move on to the next player who is, who has something to prove and really wants to play for the badge
