Kinda like Oscars move to China when they were buying old players
Bruh..just let em be where they wanna play…as long as they happy to play…
I’m so devastated. I thought he’d left to go to Barça, guy just wanted a vacation with add-ons 💀
They are not disrupting European Football. They are just trying to build their own league. Stop being salty that we have more money. 😂
Just the same as Oscar going to China
Crazy to think that after all these years porto is still the biggest club he played for
Barcelona might have wanted him but Xavi didn’t and no EPL where gonna afford the tax wolves put on him
Is it just Saudi Arabians and Ronaldo fans saying this is an okay move? Because it’s not for such a promising player if we’re being honest. It’s the 66th ranked league, if you’ve watched the games played it looks like slow motion football. It’s a waste of a career to join a Saudi team. However I’m not gonna bash on them too hard, they are getting about as much money in one year as they would get in 4-6 years. That’s a nice bag. But it’s sad, clearly the players that go to these lesser leagues even if they dominated in the top leagues taper off. Huge examples of this are when the Chinese super league started buying a bunch of decently good players. They were very good in Europe, e.g., Oscar, Hulk, Tevez, and Lavezzi, they were actually pretty damn good against good teams in Europe, however once they joined the Chinese super league they were getting above average numbers, like 15-25 goals, —basically slightly more than they were getting in Europe, but in a way weaker league, you’d expect hulk or Tevez to get prime Ronaldo and Messi numbers there, since Tevez the season prior to joining, he scored like 27 goals, and then in 2017 when he joined he scored only 4 goals.
They don’t become better when they join weaker leagues, players stop trying and do worse. I wouldn’t be surprised if Kante who is amazing for France, starts to get lazier and might eventually not get called up for the national team in 2-3 years. Even if he’s 33-35 by then the Kante player type, is like Nainggolan, who even at 35-37 are running at full speed, like modric who has only slowed down this last season at 37.
Once again I’m not hating on them for getting the money they will be getting, but it’s a sad early career ending, look at Yannick Carrasco for example he was a promising young player who helped atletico reach the UCL final, and then went to the CSL, did decently and then went back to atletico and has basically become a mid ass player. From beating Barcelona and Bayern and reaching the Ucl final to scoring about 4-6 goals for the last 5 seasons
he’s only 26 and he’s gone to a retirement league hopefully he can make a return to one of the the top 5 leagues later on
“Money is ruining the game”
Y’all do realize the premier league is the super league only difference is all the teams are from the UK instead of Europe as initially intended.
MLS & Saudi leagues taking the best players is good for the rest of the world cause Latin American players, Muslims, & even Eastern Europeans don’t have to go Western Europe & suffer discrimination from a place that doesn’t want them there in the 1st place, plus make good money & can remain closer to their families.
Not to mention, European clubs are a brand which is why they spread their market into Asia, Africa & the Americas not cause they care to give us entertainment for free but so we can buy their merch & pay streaming services to watch but y’all don’t say anything about that.
I hope both the MLS & Saudi league succeed so players can have more options & us non European can go to the stadiums & watch quality cause our players will remain in the area & if the Club World Cup goes through, it would give non European teams a fair chance of going far into the tournament. & non European players won’t suffer burnout from long 12+ hr flights.
I always thought he’d be a good signing for my team liverpool
Saudi Arabian clubs are just signing players nothing wrong with that.
Bringing some of the top talent in from Europe when they’re at the end of their careers*
It’s not disrupting anything.
One example of how money ruins football
Ridiculous.
The Camel league is gonna end like super league in China.
Beside this players are gonna be the face of Saudi Arabia regime.
Disgusting!
It hurts seeing the sport I love get bought out by some oil money bastards 🙂
Saudi keep trying to sign all these players to make a super league, but it just won't happen, the culture is so much more different than a change from 1 European team to another, plus they have no real trophies, any player with any aspirations would want to go and try to win some real silverware
as a wolves fan, im disappointed and devastated
And let me guess if they move to saudi Arabia they will covert to Muslim or they don't convert
Ronaldo was right
I hate this, I want this stupid Saudi league to end

Football is dead as we knew it
