      Who cares about london vs Newcastle. Footballers dont hang out in the city centre during leisure time, they go abroad to private resorts.

      Rory always compared ange to gerrad but gerrad won 1 trophy in 3 years at rangers. Ange won 5 in 2 years. Classic Chelsea fan undermining anyone that goes to spurs 😊

      I read that Maddison and Ange have same agent, who also has good relationship with Levy ( apparently there are some that do). But if that’s true, it adds another factor to the decision! Everyone can decide whether that means much or not???

      As a Leicester fan I'd love to see Maddison at Newcastle, he os q fantastic playwr who deserves the biggest stage to show his talents on and Howe would definitely improve his game.

      The commentators have obviously not had a Saturday night out in Newcastle. I'd take Newcastle over London any day. By the way I'm not from anywhere near Newcastle.

      A few points to take to task:

      1) When Ferguson moved from Aberdeen to ManU it was a different time. The Scottish League Division One (as it was) and the English League Division One were a lot closer in inter-league competitiveness. Also, he was on the brink of the sack after several seasons of not delivering. Will Spurs keep Postecogolococologolgolocoullanfaifechangogogoch if he ends outside top 6th and trophyless?

      2) The reason why many players aren’t sold by ManU is because the player has to agree to talks when in contract. If you’re on stupid money a week, and you’re going to take a pay cut, would you move? Yes, players want to play, but not everyone is that desperate to play and often play for a (perceived) inferior team.

      3) Eddie Howe’s Newcastle will definitely end up top 4 next season. Those “pundits” that think it was a flash in the pan are wrong. Many say they overperformed or they are ahead of schedule. Howe has taken a holistic approach, some elements of which loads of other teams have already copied, E.g. the togetherness and fan applause at the end of every game. However, whilst that’s easy to copy, there are things impossible to copy. Most of the other clubs equate big money with big talent. We’ve seen that what would have been a joke defence last season (2021/22) become the joint best in the Premier League at a fraction of the wage bill and transfer cost.

      Guardiola is a great manager, and has proven it on numerous occasions, but has he ever done it in a (relative) shoestring budget? The answer is an emphatic “no”. In fact, when you’re dealing with the best players it’s not about coaching but man-management, which is what he’s great at. Howe’s Newcastle has NOT over-performed. Howe has NU’s SQUAD(!) playing to its FULL POTENTIAL. If there’s a disparity between City and NU (as there was in the NU home game) it’s because the City players are not performing to their full potential.

      Most managers in the game are dullards. Howe is a clever bloke, you can hear it in how he talks, his respect for others, and how he handles himself in the media. Guardiola is the same. Newcastle will improve because they will only buy players who fit into Howe’s system, mentally, technically, physically and most importantly, psychologically. All other teams will be using FIFA 2024 or 29072 (whatever that joke game is called now) to pick their transfers. Howe will buy sensibly.

      PS (I’m not sure if it’s still the same, but as late as 2016, EA we’re using fandoms to rate the players. I know this because I taught one such random on a Masters course in 2016. I was shocked!)
