Celso Borges and Alexandre Guimarães are one of the few father-son duos to have played for Costa Rica in a FIFA World Cup. Alexandre played in all three of Costa Rica’s matches in 1990 while also guiding “Los Ticos” to a World Cup qualification in 2006 as a coach. Celso Borges has over 120 caps for the National Team including two World Cup participations.
