  1. It's a ridiculous contract to see Kim Min-jae playing for the national team. I don't understand why you're trying to recruit me so urgently when your team is also causing controversy. There is controversy and absolute opposition in the national team

  2. i know we arent capable of doing smart deals so thats why i am sure we wont sign him but the day another club signs him, it will be the end of me (personally i think he is going to chelsea)

  3. costa is probably the most athletic gk i have ever seen and the confidence he shows when on the ball is un matched , he is destined for the top thats why iam on my knees that we sign him

  4. The amount of times we've lost the ball on bad long balls from DDG to the opposition, creating scary situations and even goals must be very high. Especially before we got Casemiro to stop them. Infuriating to watch it happen game after game, been like that for a few years now. If DDG is 1st GK next season, were so fucked. Should be number one priority after a proper 9.

  5. Rumoured 40ish million? You sure you aren’t mistaking him for Raya? Costa’s buyout is 65m & with a contract until 2027 Sporting are under no obligation to cut 20 million off the price. In fact it would be nonsensical for them to do just that when judging by his comments Costa clearly isn’t about to go strike to force a move

  6. Mate you said he’s a unit? He’s considerably smaller then de gea? Have you ever watched Costa before serious question ? Aside from the World Cup

  7. With Costa we +10pts next season in league. Not from saves but from confidence building up from the back. Try pressing Costa and martinez

  8. Ten Hag must be opportunistic in his GK search. If a candidate starter is available at the right price he must move to follow through on his statement that De Gea isn't guaranteed #1 status

  9. Getting Costa now might be better, cause next season his price may rise to like 60-70m, so it would be better to pay 35m plus 10-15m in addons

  10. Gets just put Bruno in net 🤷‍♂️. No thanks I’ll stick with de gea thanks and bring in an actual up and coming goalkeeper. Nothing worse than these so called modern goalkeepers. Errors every single game

  11. Had me up until Costa is huge,he’s a lot smaller than de gea🤣🙈 if we had city money he’s get him,if not get him next season as we need striker and midfielders more

  12. Numbers mean shit tbh. Porto dominates possession. How many times do the opposition run through their midfield and defense to take high xg shots ?

  13. most manU fans dont know Diogo Costa…he had an impeccable reputation and then the World Cup came where he had that lapse that would have been unimaginable to think about prior: Kind of moment that could indicate some future issues dealing with primetime (PL ).

  14. Mo thank you . He was absolutely awful for portugal in Qatar WC and dont rate hun . Would prefer to go for David Reya /Jan oblak etc

  15. Costa will cost an arm and a leg but a new GK is just as important as getting a new ST. You see how Allison, Ederson and to a lesser extent Ramsdale have transformed their teams. Get it done.

  16. You have to think about the difference in league standard. When the 3 top Portuguese teams goalkeepers have the ball the opposing team runs back for their lives trying to low block them. That means a 40 yards pass accuracy in the high percentile really = he is passing a ball 40 yards to an unmarked defender or with a player 20 yards away and no one near the defender just a chip over

  17. If we’re serious about challenging anytime soon then Costa is an absolute must. If we can’t get him then I’ll be happy to settle for Raya, but a club like United should be going for the best in class!

  18. If United can move Henderson on and Costa could be had for around 40 – 50 m then I would get him. Plain and simple if the aim is to get back to being one of the top teams in the world on a consistent basis, then EtH and the rest of the front office have got to be ruthless in that pursuit.

  19. Please don't rely too much on stats. There are so many variables that they can be wildly distorted. But more and more they're used in football which, since it is a very fluid game, does not lend itself well to this type of analysis. Up to a point, okay. But you'll learn much more about a player through two basic things: 1. Watching him play; 2. Talking to him. Football is becoming Americanized whereby everything is a bloody stat.

  20. I think this was a pretty balanced clip. But I also feel that the DDG thing has become a bit of a bandwagon and some fans are just jumping on it but don't notice subtle little things in a game. And there are many of them. Knowing how to watch a game is a real skill.

  21. This guy sounds great. But another thing to remember: he isn't EPL tested. He'd probably be fine. But these things are never a lock. I'd say about 50% of signings work out how, you'd like. Maybe a little less. Perhaps 40% are disappointing or flops; 20% are decent or the jury is still out; and 40% adapt quickly and succeed.

  22. So the guy says he’s at his dream club- and wants to stay- so this seems like another example of chasing someone who doesn’t want to leave his current club and we had that crap too much last summer. The stats certainly show he would be a great addition for united- and I’d love to see him come on- but we seem to get caught up in folks who won’t come to MU lately.

  23. Keeper save percentages can not be taken too much into account when you consider the quality of the strikers in the PL vs the Portuguese League

  24. How does Costa compare with Allison, Edersom and Courtois ?

Also the other GK that we should be looking at like Mike Maingnan , David Raya etc.

  25. Not a chance he'll be leaving for £40ish million – it'll be more like £55-60m. That's the release clause of the new contract he signed last year and Portuguese clubs rarely give any change when it comes to release clause prices – especially to prem teams.

  26. De Gea excells in one of four attributes you want in a goalkeeper. Shot stopping. He's non existent at claiming crosses, sweeping and distribution. And his shot stopping has come under queston at times too. Time to let him go.
