      'Last Dance' aside, I hope Messi becomes the Mentor of a young dressing room. His best years are behind him, but he will be home. Time to raise the kids as it were, and see them continue the legacy.

      Messi is finished as a player at the top level. Barca should be getting younger. They should from mu about bringing back a washed up veteran. It will end badly.

      I agree with this video 100%. Barca need to think about the long term future of Barca. Barca moved on people like Ronaldinho because it would inhibit the growth of the team they were building around Messi. The same goes for now. Bringing Messi back will inhibit the growth of the team around it’s young stars that are looking toward the future. The team needs to get past this desire to even think about returning Messi. If Messi comes back for a year or two Barca will have to go through a transition period again. Xavi needs to be able to be free of the past so he can building his team, his way. Messi needs to think beyond his own legacy and bank account. He needs to tell Barca he’s going elsewhere. Let Barca start a new era.
