    Newcastle have made a bid for Leicester City attacking midfielder James Maddison.
    A real statement of intent from the club. The bid has been rejected however it is believed that Newcastle will consider making an improved offer for the player.

      I’ve been a bit hesitant about signing an attacking midfielder due to how we play. However, there are 2 options I think could be good. Either play him on the left wing and move ASM to the right, where I think he plays better anyway. Otherwise if he plays on the right I think he would play a lot like Almiron has this preseason, cutting inside so much that he basically becomes a 10 or 8 with Trippier overlapping

      I’d prefer if we just went for paqueta personally paul, Maddison is a cracking player but paqueta is pretty much the fella that makes Brazil tick, and as you know that’s saying something, imo paqueta is the better player out of the two and will cost roughly the same price

      Completely untrue this one..I would be very surprised we spend 40M on a CM when we need a striker and a RW. Probably Agent using NUFC to start something

      What happen to not being a rumour mill? And no Madison is not the type of player we want, no I wouldn't enjoy him diving even if it is for our team have some pride. Feel like you have had a Sinclair with this one lol love the channel btw just wanted to post my opinion

      Thanks for info. Just watched Atlanta game…wood lets defenders stay in front of him way to easily …and he cant hold up ball its bouncing off him…as fir his passing…its like watching forrest gump…by time hes made up mind what to do…its to late. Im being a bit harsh ….as watching wood l think hes lacking confidence and this is also making him lose his aggression too…he got 10 a season at old club..so l will keep open mind…but l think we def need a fast striker that can tire defenders …pressure them into mistakes..just one st up front will nit do well in premiere league unless our midfielders all start scoring…l want two strikers …l stand by statement that if you want to finish in top ten you must have four strikers to rotate as ones form dips…nufc has lacked attacking power for years….hope we buy some soon…..we looking toothless at moment…we are not a threat…until we have two in team that scire regular …we will struggle.

      Paqueta is better than Madison and cheaper. Paqueta is better than Bruno. Madison is not better than Bruno. This is not rocket science.

      Cracking player Madison…he's worth 40 mill..but not a penny more…but I think he's fell out with Rodgers once or twice I've read in the past…but very good player aye….

      I hear they want 68 million for him which is why I can't see him coming to Spurs. I believe we will sign Zanolio for around 43 million pounds. I wanted either Maddison or Paqueta but I don't think we will pay the overpriced value that the clubs have put on these two players. I'd love Milinkovic of Lazio but he'd also cost an arm and a leg. If Newcastle gets Maddison ye can guarantee top 4.

      All parties knew that 40 mil wasn’t gonna net James Mad-diver. If his off-the-ball play was half as good as his on-ball play, then Toon would be happy to have offered 50 up front, I am guessing. But, it ain’t, and it wasn’t, and Eddie Howe knows James Whinerson is gonna be a project, not totally dissimilar to boy wonder Gordon, though the the former will have a nearly immediate impact on the squad.
