Arsenal have made there first approach for Musa Diaby according to sky sports news. On the transfer show today at 12 o'clock. They have said they are very reluctant to let him go mid season. Also they said in the summer they would not accept a bid lower than 90 million. Whether that's changed considering they are having a v poor season, who knows. I guess we have Chelsea to thank for the crazy prices teams now expect.
I agree with you Dg we won't pay 100 million for declan rice. West ham will command that fee. David moyes has said as much.
Years ago critics were saying that man utd couldn't win the league with "KIDS", and alex ferguson proved them wrong?? Then why not arsenal winning league this season then??

These journos are just helping arsenal board make excuses, justify, and/or rationalize not getting any Jan business done. I would have liked to see more determination in the market from the club considering we're top of the prem, and have serious depth issues in some roles. I would have been targeting Diaby from the get go rather pissing around in the backwaters and junkyards of Europe wasting time on Mudryk, who simply went from one classless club to another classless club. It will be a very difficult deal to get done, and I have almost no faith in Edu's ability to pull it off mid-window. Let's be honest, Edu is a bit of a release clause merchant, so we're probably dependent on something like that right now, or similarly low hanging fruit. If there's reason for optimism, it's that Leverkusen are a proper, serious club unlike those part time clowns at Shaktar, and will negotiate properly.
As for Rice, I'm already bored with it. We're in the Jan window, this one is apparently for the summer. How about we sign someone who can help us push for the title right now, Edu?? It's probably just club PR to give arsenal fans more false hope and distract us from the stunning failure to sign anyone over halfway into the window.
