I wouldn’t even say that becaus typically a midfielder isn’t a bad defender. He’s a good passer. That’s it he’s got nothing else in his locker

It's all good when it comes to passing, but he is a defender, he has to be able to protect his goal, passing should always come second after defending for a defender, wherever he plays. Or his defence should be world class and passes are literally insane, then yeah, it's alright to have better passes then defence. When Trent officially moves to midfield and his team will have a good defensive wing back, then everyone will start praising him again, but now he's not capable of playing against good teams like Real, City or Arsenal.
