Manchester United has no power up top and is not clinical enough in its front line. Other than Rashford, none of the forwards has produced anything serious. This then explains why every game this season has been a battle. The forwards can’t finish their chances therefore the defense has to endure waves of attacks even vs lower table opposition. Now with the two best defenders out (Varane and Martinez) and Shaw having to play out of position, DeGea immediately looks vulnerable again. The fact MUFC has scored one goal in the last 4 matches is proving the point. The fact MUFC has not won any match by more than 3 goals is further proof of this issue. Without a proper front line, it will always be a struggle. My worry is that this summer again there will be no real investments done due to the take over problems. I understand the reluctance of spending if you see that in years past MUFC overspend on players such as Maguire, AWB, Sancho, Anthony and Casimero, just to name a few. Clubs like Brighton, Newcastle, Brentford have spend much less and have more quality in certain positions than MUFC.
