Football player Anis Ben Slimane was born and raised in Denmark to Tunisian parents. He’s now getting ready to play at his first World Cup at #Qatar2022 for the Tunisian national team. His first match will be against a friendly foe: his birth country Denmark.

“I think the main reason [I decided to play for Tunisia] was because I wanted to give back to my roots in Tunisia,” he said.

The FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar opens this Sunday, on November 20, and Tunisia will face Denmark as part of Group D – which also includes France and Australia – on November 22.
