Jack Grealish scored the winner as Aston Villa beat Birmingham 1-0 in a Second City derby overshadowed by an attack on Grealish by a fan.
The assault on Grealish came after 15 minutes when a pitch invader swung an arm at the midfielder and knocked him to the floor, before he was removed from the ground and later arrested.
