Ty Whitehead may be the Wildcard Player like Grayson Allen was for the 2015 DUKE National Championship Team. Roach and Filipowski are the primary Scorers with Mitchell as the 3rd, Lively, Young and Proctor contribute when possible but Whitehead is definitely the βX-Factorβ because heβs Very Talented but was hampered by injuries during the regular season.
I wonder if the ACC is going to apologize for their officials again. At 15:44, they make a technical error on the rules, like at the end of the Virginia game. Wong elbows Roach in the face while making a move but before he shoots. The officials call an offensive foul on Wong, but count the bucket. The foul occurred before the shot and so there is nowhere in the rules where that bucket counts. If it had occurred after the shot was released, they could have called it a dead ball foul, but thereβs no way to interpret it that way. The foul clearly occurs before the shot and the bucket by Wong should have been disallowed.
