  1. Gary in the treble season was better than Walker this season. Walker has barely featured. Giggs singlehandedly won that FA cup, how Grealish is in this team is pure insanity. The rest of jamie’s picks are fine

  2. Just ask your selves would any other manager win the Portuguese league a Portuguese cup and the europa league and champions league in back to back seasons with Porto.

    Doubt it

  3. Is anyone else absolutely sick of hearing about the 99 United side? They were good, sure, but christ, you'd think they won 5 champions leagues in a row, the way they go on about them on Sky.

  4. When dnglish clubs were allowed back in to ucl , it took united 6 seaspns to win the champions league . Why didnt they win it straightaway.

  5. Gary has been friends with Giggs and Scholes since they were 14 years old. They literally grew up together and conquered the world of football. Loyalty before Royalty

  6. Liverpool fan here but just wanted to say Neville was bang on with his midfield. Tell me a better midfield than Beckham, Scholes, Keane and Giggs in English history

  7. Gundogan over Scholes 💯
If it wasn't for that injury in 2014 Gundo would have a World Cup as well.
Overall he's the better and clever player.
No disrespect to Scholes but except his passing ranges and the occasional long shots and his constant kicking of players on the floor you don't rate him that much otherwise he'd be included in the debate of the best PL english midfielders between Lampard and Gerrard.
    Carra is wrong about Giggs.
Yes he didn't contribute that much in GA but he was influential in that 99 season and he should be hands down ahead of Grealish.
Haaland is a monster but come on that Yorke and Cole duo was for me the best forward duo in Champions League history.

  8. United pundits like Rio, Gary Neville, Hargreaves, and Scholes just need to stop being humble on air. That United team set the precedent for what the current Guardiola team even strives to be LOL. Stop being humble Gary, and put these peasants in their place. United are the only team in England to win 5 PL titles in 6 years on two different occasions! United 99 > City 23 and City 18 any day of the week.

  9. Clowns have to realise – at some point – that a treble, fluking a treble is SO over-rated.

When Liverpool won the prem, they won 26 of their first 27 games with a draw against united as the only spoiler. THAT is bigger than united's treble. Far bigger. The Arsenal invincibles was bigger, too. (I must add, it was of course a very fine united team that season, all the same.)

  10. It was harder to win games back then because smaller teams would play for draws. Now everyone is a football poet and tries to play attacking football so there is a lot of space in behind for teams like Man City.

  11. The fact that Carra chose Gundogan over Scholes and Grealish over Giggs shows how disrespectful his list is… Carra has been having a few of these moments now.. Its about time he starts reflecting on these actions and correct himself

  12. I'm a City fan and Scholes is a shoe in. He was class

But, I'm not taking Giggs. His numbers are so low

Rodri's season has been way ahead of Keane

  13. You do need to take into account the better players now in the premier league since in garys time they would have played in serie A meaning less competition in the league at least.

  14. Using stats to compare Grealish and Giggs doesn’t even make sense, Giggs played as a winger in a 442, he had a lot more defensive work to do, deeper on the pitch than Grealish, who’s playing in a more attacking role.

  15. Scholes the worst out of the 3 in the lampard, gerrarddebate but scholes should be in there so should giggs it’s poor from Jamie. 2 very biased pundits these 2 n they don’t even care one bit that they are even tho they know it as well haha

  16. Peps city best that united team if they play each other though. The game is so much faster and united players wouldn't get near them the way pep has them moving the ball. There not as good as Peps barca but they are not far off and look what that team did to a good united team. They were chasing shadows

  17. neville bias to his own mates vs any other midfield 4 in whole english game ever>??!!! delusional – the LFC 80”s team who won titles and european cups / domestic cups! that terrible team sorry treble team were lucky s o b’s ever. they were awful in ucl final.

  18. Let me make it simple for everyone.

    Schmeichel

    Neville Stam Johnsen Irwin

    Beckham Keane Scholes Giggs

    Yorke Cole

    Reasons

    1. They have actually won the Treble this City team hasn't but they have a decent chance of doing it but have they done it as of writing this? No.

    2. Man City have 115 charges against them making everything they have won and will win tainted.

    3. That United team admittedly would not be as good as City so it was a lot harder for them to win the Treble because they were on equal footing with Arsenal, Barcelona, etc while City is better than Arsenal and on paper slightly better than Real Madrid but still better.

  19. Was the competition as good in 99, I mean was united further ahead financially than say city are today with more clubs closer and able to bring in top players? Europe is different and don't think any year you can argue the difficulty to win the competition.

  20. The idea that a team from about 25 years ago could beat Manchester City in 2023 is mental. City would win by about ten goals if they played today. To disagree is to argue that the game hasn't evolved or improved.
