It's only because it's West Ham that people are saying its too much money. If it was buying from City for example, nobody would bat an eyelid. If West Ham value him at 100 plus, that's what he's worth to them. Maybe West Ham would be happy to keep him another year or two. So I think at this stage him being priced out is irrelevant. Declan is world class. I see him play every week. His main MO is not to score goals, even though he does. Try and report it a bit more unbiasly.

Harry Maguire went for £80million 4 years ago. Grealish went for £100million 2 years ago. After Harry Kane, Rice is England's most picked player. He's likely to be the next captain. He's 24 so he's got at least 10 years left in him. Laughable that people think in todays market he's not going to go for somewhere between £90million and £120million.

If Declan were at Man City he would start scoring goals like DeBruyne .. it's the quality of the players around you that lifts your skill level. Rice is truly world class; has an excellent attitude, and as a West ham fan I hope he stays. He won't but we will always love and respect him anyway.

Our midfield depth isn't that deep at Arsenal – after Partey, Xhaka & Odegaard, the drop off to Elneny & Lokonga is big. We need a bigger squad and Rice would be a good addition but we won't sign him when West Ham want stupid money for him (nor do I think Liverpool will) so he probably end up at Chelsea, United or City
With a buy out clause of 52 mill and at 22 Ugarte is more mobile than Rice and would be better value. Wouldn't say no to him but at 100 mill won't be happening with FSG.Mount: no thanks.

People would talk about Busquets being world class a few years back and he was the barometer for a defensive midfielder… No one picked up he's scored 11 goals in 478 apps for Barcelona in the league. Dec is on 9 in 201 and he can do a hell of a lot more on the ball than busquets could, that's why he has a bit of a hybrid role at West Ham. One of the best to do it defensively and his attacking ability just keeps on getting better, in a team that has more of a defence first mindset. He is world class.
