Ramero is as much to blame as the rest of the defence. We can’t back him just because he’s a World Cup winner he’s been as much to blame as the rest since the return. He wanders out of position then backs his tackling to get him out of trouble. I don’t give a shit him hitting the post in attack he’s a defender , defend. Yes dier is limited but it don’t help when the golden boy who can’t be called out is doing his own thing.
Romero’s a liability.. All these comments that’s saying it’s because he’s surrounded by crap players is nuts..
He’s got zero discipline, there’s no doubt there’s a decent player there but he needs direction he should be steadying the ship instead he’s capsizing it..
His recklessness is going to get worse if he’s not reigned in..
As if we don’t have enough probs you’d like to think he would one of the players you can rely on..
Can’t forget he didn’t play for the last 4-6 games before the World Cup so say was injured, then plays straight away at the World Cup no probs.. For me that’s very suspect as is his commitment to Tottenham..
The man is a quality defender. Love the mongrel in him.
Like everything, if your not going to coach him or give him support ,by giving him quality players around him , that's on the club as well.

I've know read this twice how true it is Who knows. But aparently levy is considering ripping up ndombeles contract. I don't ger thst surely taking a hit receiving less money for him would be better than nothing. On top of ripping up dochertys and aurier contract .surely for the 3 players we would have got a good few million pounds which we could have brought in a top player or paid wages .for levy who dosent like paying ott prices it must help .don't quite understand it

Romero is, like Kulusevski, just a happier puppy when he’s got His pal Emerson nearby. Also I’ve seen his problem show up when Alphonso Davies plays for Canada. Romero is trying to solve all the problems himself, he’s taking too much on his shoulders. There’s a certain desperation in his frantic lunges. I agree we need someone on his level to calm him.
Look romeo is a good player he just needs a hand around him and someone to talk with him at least he has a go dier is crap😅 good show by the way 👍

Dier Langlet and Lloris are very poor and I feel Romero has now become reckless because of it. It now seems Royal was one of the better iptions and he wants away

Romero is a gem. He's the only one in our backline who deserves to be there. He's clearly one of the top defenders in the league. He's a young top notch defender who exhibits confidence and can only improve further with proper management. I'm sure there are other teams in the League who have their eyes on him.
Given the mess the team has become, it's not surprising that he's losing heart and acting rash. The club has to sit him down and assure him that the problems are being sorted out.
I was hoping, pre WC, that Romero would take up the mantle of being the leader of the backline but he seems to have fallen to the level of players around him unlike someone like Ledley, who would make the defenders around him better.
I just want him to do the basics first rather that flying out of the line to chase a forward like playground football.
That said when on form, like the back end of last season, he is the best defender we have but doesn't mean he should get a pass for poor decisions.
Said this many time we need big leaders in the core of our team.
Goal Keeper – Leader shouting at the defenders
Central Defender – Leader shouting at defenders and midfielders
Central Midfielder – Leader shouting at midfielders and strikers
When you have the core leaders/fighters you are winners
Basically igy you are saying if we had better defenders around him to cover his Mistakes and make him look Good that would help Him Lo.l Why Not go all the way and just GET better defenders and then we would not have to play him at all I have said from the start that he is just A poor mans Michael Dawson on A good day and everyone else who is in the Cult of Romero said No he is Spurs Legend look how he kick people lol. Conte did not get to much right in his time with Spurs But got Romero right from the start He Plays to crowd and is A flat track Bully, will be very interesting to see what the manager dose with him.

Do people not understand the more the opposition has the ball the more likely they are going to attack your defenders and score. If you control a game your defenders will always look good but we don't so our defenders get exposed constantly. Romero playing for Argentina does not get exposed much cos they can control a game
I dont hear anybody talking about Van Dijk being so great this season as Liverpool have lost their legs and dont control games as much so he gets exposed Perisic could never have got past him that easy last season.
We should not listen Arsenal fans or pundits about what we should do. Romero is very serious player. Unfortunately he's been surrounded by very bad defenders like Dier and Porro. Everyone can make mistake. He didn't do all wrong vs Liverpool. He setup second goal with very good pass toward Son and improved in second half. What I need from him is to go out and to say in public he did not deliver ultimatum "sack Conte or I will reconsider future in this club" like Richarlison did.

Defensively we are inept because we need quality in the middle and right now we only have Romero who may be trying to do too much.
Romero is a wild man with extreme qualities. Not what you'd want i a chaos defense, but someone we want around if we get our defense sorted.
Emersons form over last 5 games is abysmal but he's still an outstanding defender. Unlike Eric Dier….
Conte tactics are looking more sensible by the day. Need a couple of defenders with a Gk first before anything else
