I’m sorry, but from a neutral perspective and I didn’t see him when he was “great” he just is not good enough in his current form to play for Barca. No where near the level of David Villa, or Alexis Sanchez
Ansu’s decision not to go for surgery because of the coming World Cup then was so shortsighted. He got into the World Cup alright but lost momentum in his career. Hope this is not a permanent loss of class!
Both YES and NO! Yes Ansu has been playing, true, both mainly on the left hand side! Personally, I would love to see Ansu play more as number 9. Especially given that Lewandowski hasn't exactly been in great form, and perhaps feels untouchable, and thus complacent. I feel like we are not using Ansu in the right way, and by doing that, we are damaging his self confidence. Remember, Ansu was a player, only a season ago, who seemed to be able to score on every chance he had. A serious goalthreat! I'm confident that if Barca started to give Ansu some real minutes in that number 9 slot, things would develop much more quickly in a positive direction for Ansu, but since Xavi is absolutely determined to play Lewa every single minute, nothing will happen on that front.
I would even like to see Barca try out Ferran Torres there as well! As a center forward, and not on the wings. He's a decent finisher, and great at running deep for through balls. I remember when Barca signed him, people where comparing him to David Villa, because they shared similar attributes. And why on earth would you not play a "David Villa-type" on number 9???
Generally, I feel like Xavi is not experimenting enough with the front three. Both Ansu and Ferran would do much better playing centrally, and Lewa needs to knows that other people are competing for his place in the team.
Xavi demonstrated his inexperience by that statement. Very poor mental support from your coach. Xavi needs to learn fast or be removed
Vinicius was giving poor performance in his first few games with Real. but Real Madrid has shown a lot of patience. We need to show same kind of patience with Ansu. He has huge potential.

Ansu did not get enough time. He should have start for at least five times. Only to get the opportunity as a substitute. That's not fair.
I don't see why in the last few games when the team CLEARLY doesn't seem to care as much about the league as we did before, why can't he play Ansu and some other youngsters more? Take Ferrante or Raphina, or dare I say even Lewandowski, off at half time and let the youth play. This is barca and we need to promote the young players as much as possible instead of being linked with Carrasco etc
Fati need to playing more I can't see Barcelona getting rid of a young player to bring back Messi. Messi had him time at the club and it time looking forward just emaging two players over the age of 36 on the field and younger players on the beach. As a supporter of bara sometimes I don't like how they dile with there young players.
Fati still popped up with a few goals this season despite not being okay. He's had way too many setbacks Ferran had none. He scores one goal, then he is good. He misses another, and he's bad again. Ferran his the one who should leave the club. We have to be patience with Fati. He, more than Ferran, deserves it.
Ansu Fati is still the second best finisher at the club. One question I would like to tell Xavi if I was in the press is.
“Why does your forwards have the worst relationship/chemistry in the league?” It’s almost like they don’t like each other. There is no chemistry whatsoever. I know this can change with Messi and Lewandowski because they will have respect for each other.
but currently there is no chemistry in the front line whatsoever. I think the relationship of the field is not there, or they just lack the trust and respect for one another,
and it shows on the field.
