LFC In theory. Must have 8 homegrown players over age 21 in a 25 man squad. Next season they could be down to 4 as they only have 7 now. I suspect they want to add to Jordan. Trent, Curtis and Joe maybe? 2 of Rice. Bellingham and Mount?

Jones has been so good these last 2-3 games, same with Trent in his new role. they are like new signings in a way

I think its a bit early for us to call it a stroke of genius. What role is he gonna play in next season? RB or somewhere in Midfield? Because with this current “inverted” full back role, players like Vini Jr, Rashford, etc. will tear our defense apart.
Would it be silly bringing in a new RB and having him start on the right side of central midfield full time next season? Can see him doing serious numbers for assists and chances created etc in a full season from midfield.

I just noticed that Trent looks so lively when he is playing as an inverted right back instead of just a right back who sometimes overlaps. Klopp is a genius for it because he knew playing him in an inverted position instead of being a midfielder would be throwing him in the deep end and this made Trent work so much harder. He moves to cdm to play make then moves back to right back to defend. Before this Trent was so lazy this season even tho he wasn’t assigned to do 1/16 of the work he does now. It’s because klopp gave him freedom and made the entire team rest on his shoulders at the same time. This definitely revived Trent’s passion for the game and that’s all he needed, he need a bit of fire from the coach, he works so hard in the gym and refuses to take vacations so why play him in a position where all he has to do is cross and defend basically letting him rot there.
