  1. As to coaching licenses I always return to the case of the USSF and Nene Cubillas of Peru…
"Failing" his "B" License… one of the very best players of the 70s and multiple world cups… sorry but if it's generic USSF staff guys or one of the all time World Cup scorers … well I just am more interested in what Nene has to say about how to play the game… he was never robotic and had personally trained a few of our NATs of that period.

  2. Brek Shea, Snake whisperer…
Leeds is 15th in the table, and 9 pts clear of trouble. I think they know they can survive, and I think they know Aaronson can contribute going forward. I think it's a good move, and I think he can win his starting role. I'd rather him at Leeds than Salzburg… right now, I see Leeds as his best move, but it's possible there's a better move out there.
Popped up in my facebook memories today that it was 6 yrs ago Jordan Morris turned down Bundesliga interest to stay in MLS. At the time, mixed feelings. I was happy to have him at Sounders, but wondered about his development opportunities. Feels safe to say now, he'd be a better player had he gone to Germany.

  3. I tweeted at Lalas after watching that interview…
I said I have agreed with him at times and disagreed a lot, but I respected him…
He tweeted back saying "is this a trick?"
LOL, I may be just a guy on the internet with opinions, but we're not all bad!

  4. Your comment about 10 year olds not stretching was kind of rediculous, why would you not instill good stretching tecnhique / habits at an early age? Do they need it now, no but many of them will play soccer at the highschool and perhaps even college level, and will need to do it regularly

  5. Disagree with the statement that you dont train technique in isolation, plenty of successful players coaches advocate this. Striking alone can be taught very well in isolation against a rebounder or whatever to build form and strength.
Second there is a well followed axiom in teaching that you walk before you run. To place players in a competitive environment or drill as you described (which I have used and love) WITHOUT first introducing some moves, some paths some ideas on how to succeed doesnt give these players fundamentals on how to keep the ball.
The warm up is ridiculous and as a fitness trainer myself I have long battled against the need for long stretch sessions or warm ups for children who do not have the explosive muscles yet that are prone to tear injure etc.
a lot of ignorance still out there shockingly in this nation

  6. Great recommendation on the Leads docu, I might be a Leads fan now haha, and yes I think a move to Leads by Aaronsson would be great. and for anyone who needs an extra push to watch the docu… its narrated by Russell Crowe…I mean come on!

  7. i was at west ham last sunday (because I'm west ham not a scum bag leeds fan) however I saw how leeds ran us down work rate wise and how bielsa set up and id have to say aaronson would fit that perfectly in that philosiphy …..and everyone hates leeds!!! but they are a massive club I've also been to eland road with my friend…make no mistake about it….leeds are the type of club that is a pressure cordless regardless of how they are competitively atm ….. they on the up so if he relates to the fans and performs under the scrutiny from the fans he could become even better for tournament football…blv me i hate leeds they sing how everyone hates them and they don't care….but i also respect and know first hand what type of cub they are…so be a great move for him and US national team if he succeeds at leeds…just look how it boosted the australian national team who were non existent until two players won over the scum bags at leeds (viduka & kewell) good move imo. MUCH LOVE FROM COYI's

  8. U say matt turner no to LIGA MX
SO U ACTUALLY THINK THAT NEW ENGLAND AND MLS IS BETTER THEN LIGA MX ?🤚
Well liga mx is a better luegue just my opinion

  9. 2 things: I know that match play is important however as a GK training is far greater than match play. So for Turner he will get the repetition of training and he will definitely get his distribution problem solved. I think you should look back at Tim Howard's career when he first started in Europe. 2nd let's never compare the quality of Brendan A next to Paul A. Insult to B. Aaronson

  10. I think everyone is missing the bigger picture with the Aaronson to Leeds move. This is 100% the right move because it gives Brendan a chance to sell Bielsa on coaching the USMNT. Check mate.

  11. I like Aaronson to Leeds because the timing lines up with Raphinha departure rumors… This 'Leeds' me to believe (I'm sorry) that Bielsa sees Aaronson as a direct replacement and he'd theoretically get a TON of PL minutes.

  12. Really, I thought the interview was outstanding, it's always helpful to hear different views other than yours, if we don't, we usually don't grow in knowledge, .. MLS is an important part of the overall talent pool. As a supplement to other leagues where are players grow…Alexi has decades of soccer evolution he's seen. He can be a bit odd, but like the idea of bridging different generations of opinions

  13. I know exactly what you mean with the 4-3-3. On my ODP team, we were encouraged to play 4-3-3, but that didn't work out for us, so we switched to a 4-4-2 and started doing much better in the tournament
