It’s been over a month since Kyle Walker has started for Manchester City in the Premier League. He’s still one of the best full-backs in the Premier League, but why hasn’t Pep Guardiola been playing him?

  1. As city fan i would say Speed the only advantage Kyle possess but his under pressure, crosses and Handling the ball are really not up the standard and I knew this was coming sooner or later.
Modern FB needs to be good as Mid who can provide you the option of crossing in the box.
In IMP games Kyle is just a liability when it comes to attacking for crosses you need in the final 10min where he try to attempts all goes to waste.

  2. i say the best thing to do against a team with a world class LW like real madrid is so start a back 4 of ake dias stones and walker. stones does his thing and drops into the midfield while walker plays as a right centre back. ticks all the boxes really

  3. If pep keeps subbing his best players off early I can deffo see them dropping points, leicester could have easily won yesterday, barring Madison missing 1v1, nacho hitting the post and 2 questionable penalties that weren't given (not seen the replay on the one where Madison went through the players legs then got brought down but looked a good shout near the end)
Does he not realize the prem isn't like any other league. Anyone can beat anyone in this league

  4. It seems like plenty of Pep players have both benefited been cast aside because of his tactical shifts. Nathan Ake & John Stones were not mainstays in past seasons. Now they both seem quite irreplaceable. Cancelo was arguably the best full back itw last season. In less than year he plays for a different club. That's unheard of.

  5. It's telling how you never mentioned that one of Walker's attributes was him being a good defender. And that is probably the other thing that Pep has in the back of his mind about Walker

  6. Walker also has the worst 1-on-1 duel win rate of any defender in the prem at the moment. That is shocking for a top, top side. Also makes me think he wonโ€™t be saved for a Vini or any other big game moment.

  7. bro ! pep just said, that walker can't play as that " inverted full back" which is john stones doing fantastically . you guys are just highlighting this too much . walker just started 1 game before , and was a substititude again i remember ! u guys are talking like walker is not playing for 1-2 years !!!! stop this trashtalk plzzzzzzzzzz !

  8. That's one thing I love about having Pep at City, the team evolves almost every week but it does mean that some players call randomly seem to fall out of favour without any kind of dip in form. Other than Haaland it's a nightmare for Fantasy Football.
