A joke honestly
And not planning to buy a player is a fucking joke absolutely a joke and I’m also am suspicious about our medical department
Someone is definitely pushing pins into an LFC voodoo doll
We need new owners badly!
All these injuries are getting beyond a joke. So many muscle injuries must have a cause. We must be doing something that other teams aren't doing. Must be playing on players minds.
Not sure if this season can get any worse. Club is in a crisis on so many fronts: ownership, sporting director, injuries, keeping players too long and not adhering to their own “sell to buy” principal, running players ragged with this “Intensity” system without having in the players to execute it, stubborn manager that IS too loyal, signing “project” attackers when we desperately needed midfielders.
To hell with this season. Hopefully we don’t qualify for Europe at all so we can truly focus on rebuilding. Sadly, I don’t think Klopp is the right manager to rebuild. I think he is too nice and too loyal. I think he is more ruthless when he first comes to a club but sticks with players too long both in terms of game selection and in terms of contracts after they have performed for him. Can’t do that in football. It is too competitive at the top. We were supposed to not offer contracts past the age of 30. This implies ruthlessness in terms of selling players that might still have some value as they enter the downhill years of their careers. We have not done that with the exception of Mane and this is only because he WANTED to leave, not because the club wanted to extract any value.
Mo should have and should be sold. He is a VERY expensive passenger now and is not the future of the club. He has tremendous value for a continental club that is competing for trophies.
Virgil should be sold as his career decline has clearly begun and he still has some value that can be recouped.
Fabinho should be sold as his career decline has clearly begun and he still has some value but more importantly, it looks like he doesn’t even try any more.
Thiago should be sold while he still has some value.
Bobby should not be signed. He is not the future of the club and should have been offloaded as soon as the injuries started to plague his career.
Same for Keita. This past summer was the ideal time to sell him for 20 mil after he put in a decent season last year.
Same for Hendo. The decline was obvious last year. Now he is another expensive passenger that is under contract long term.
With ownership not willing to invest more and the club’s philosophy being described as “sell to buy”, management needed to be ruthless but we have the nicest, most loyal manager in all of football. This doesn’t work long term, resulting in a bunch of old, broken players whose best years are clearly behind them. Also, this highly intense system that we play doesn’t align with an ownership that isn’t willing to constantly invest in fresh legs or a club management that isn’t constantly “selling to buy” and recoup value to get it reinvented in fresh legs. We had a scouting department and sporting director that we’re second to none but hardly used them as we did so few transactions. We should have been selling players with some value more often and utilizing this back room staff to replace them with cheaper, younger fresh legs.
No parts of the club are aligned right now. For a club with such an ownership, there is no room for this. All part must be in sync and execute with ruthlessness or it just doesn’t work and you end up with a squad of old, broken players. Nice guys do finish last unfortunately.
play fabinho as defender…once again…YNWA
He probably saw the league table and be arsed lol
Rhys Williams the slow moving vehicle to the rescue 👍
Beyond bad luck all these injuries it's not normal and it's not even a new thing
I’ve written this season off ..shocking ..no luck with injuries ..that been said ..player’s have been atrocious..fsg give the manager the tools to do the job..of F off ..sell the club
Might as well leave them all out injured. Literally the entire spine and all our threats. Seasons gone.
This mf is always injured or is he just lasy surely no one could be injured as much as he claims
Surely most important… is what’s going on in the medical department even though it was a ridiculously tough playing on all fronts last season …surely it needs an overhaul ?
The corona era fabinho to play in defence
