USMNT Top 10 was rough this week, with a lot of our key guys not playing. With that said, there was still some positive takeaways, with Brenden Aaronson, John Brooks, Haji Wright and Folarin Balogun all having key contributions for their team. Who else made the top 10?

Aaronson is the new Arriola. Lots of hustle but…. Lol
Forgot to mention Sebastian Soto. Dude scored this weekend in Austria
Sounds like a nightmare team for the US. Lol
But I would say Morris as a forward I could live with.
Also Pete regarding Musah, the whole Valencia team this season have all been awful, not just Musah, hard to blame a 20 year old kid put in that environment
Probably won of the worst weeks for Americans this season unfortunately
Happy Easter to the morally victorious at Crystal Palace!
The worst few months for the current USMNT in general, guys dropping from the Elite for relegation squads, and others not playing well, benched players, or not playing at all.
Balogun had a terrible game actually. He had over 2 xg with 4 big chances missed. He only scored a penalty. I still really like Balogun and want him for the USMNT but that was a terrible performance.
Bobby Wood #1 equals a thumbs down on this video… It's a rule.
Brek Shea next week?
Kelyn Acosta is a formidable back up. Aiden Morris is not at Acosta's level yet imo.
Never been impressed with Haji and until he does something in a top 5 league, need to move on.
Pete, I really hope you're wrong about the lineup against Mexico. That would be an absolute waste of a window. We could use this camp to preview some of the newer potential Gold Cup guys, plus a few others. I don't know if we'll get Dest or Konrad, but even with an all MLS/Liga MX squad, it could be productive for a look at some potential depth guys. Here's what I'd like to see:
First of all, I'd love to see the team continue to experiment with the 4-2-3-1. For the back 4, the center back options are a bit limited without Miles Robinson, but you could start with Miazga, who, in my opinion, has been the best American CB in MLS since his return from Europe. Put him next to Zimmerman, I guess… Just please no Long. For the fullbacks, you could go with Jones and Tolkin. Both have far more to offer the team moving forward than guys like Yedlin or Moore. In the midfield, you could play a double pivot of A. Morris or Acosta playing a 6 role and T. Tillman or Williamson playing more of an 8. Then for the 3, it could be Zendejas and maybe Gioacchini on the wings, and perhaps Sonora or Ledezma at the 10. At the 9, I'm probably starting Vazquez. I'm certainly not jumping ship on him as quickly as a lot of folks are… Yes, he's had a slow start to the season, but it's been his only slow period since the last half of the 2021 season. Plus, it's not just Vazquez — that whole Cincinnati team is struggling to create and score, despite the fact they're in first place. They only have something like 9 goals in 7 games, and at least 2-3 of those have been penalties. I wouldn't hate seeing Morris at the 9, but personally, I think we need to be a little more bullish on the new guys before going back to guys like Morris or Jesus. We've seen plenty of those guys. Vazquez received one call-up in January and scored a goal. For me, that alone should get him a second look in a camp like this.
So far, Hudson has pleasantly surprised us with his squad selections. Let's hope he continues to do so.
This video is even better on slower weeks Pete haha. Keep this format going!
Happy Easter

CCV had a very shaky 1st half: passed the ball to opposing forward w/little pressure, unnecessary yellow card in middle of field, knocking people down w/o getting ball. Solid second half, but most of game is making safe passes with little else to do.
