  1. As long as your life isn’t in danger, do not go physical with nobody most especially when you’re an elite athlete, you have so much to lose.

  2. I mean, did Alex tell his side of the story? From what I've seen, all he has said was he did not say that Valverde is accusing him of. Valverde, the guy who has some of the lowest yellow cards and no red cards on RM… Randomly makes up a story and punches a guy? There's more to the story and Alex isn't actually saying anything. Right now, Alex is looking bad. If he doesn't come up with a convincing counter-story then it'll be even worst for lying and then filing complaint. He should have just taken the punch and be grateful it wasn't more because if I were in Valverde's position, it would have been worst for him.

  3. As much as I enjoyed the win as a barca fan, Baena deserved way worse. I'm completely with Don here. There are limits! Even old mafias rivals tended not to involve family in their disputes. It's soo low to involve a miscarriage in a dispute

  4. Footballers need to chill 😅. Become a pro fighter if you love violence that much if y think y can survive in MMA, Boxing or Muay Thai…

  5. Valverde deserves the incoming ban. You can not plot to assault another player for AFTER the match

Suarez was banned for an instant reaction on Chiellini . Valverde deserves the fullest punishment as fair is fair

  6. If the Baena comments are true, then what Valverde did was justified. You can talk all you want on the field but possibly involving someone’s unborn child… yeah no.

  7. Valverde deserves a lengthy ban. Agree with Don, but you don't have the right to attack someone after a game knowing that the bus was the least secured area because what someone allegedly said to you. That is malice with intent, not a reaction. If Valverde and Baena were two ordinary people and not footballers, Valverde would be charged under law for that.

Baena better hope he isn't proven to say what he did because he will lose a lot more than valverde, not sporting terms with a ban but his name will be forever dirtied by this.

  8. As a Barca fan, screw Baena but at the same time, you didn’t see Potter from Chelsea retaliate when he received death threats towards his whole family

  9. Fake news with Baena slander. There’s been reports that authorities have analysed both Copa and Liga games and not found anything what Madrid media alleges Baena said/did.
    Prison FC got new midfielder.

  10. Well sadly it's impossible for someone to disproof he didn't say something especially on the field, so the responsibility falls on Valverde because he is the one that got physical. I'm sure there is a parking lot video showing the punch plus witnesses. Sadly all the responsibility falls on Valverde. I probably would of done the same.but once you lay hands on someone there are consequences.

  11. We don’t know what was said during the fight and if Baena did make those vile comments about Valverde’s unborn child… it’s would be so f***ing messed up!! It’s fine to talk trash (as it’s part of all sports) but insulting another player’s family members, friends, and/or loved ones is crossing the f***ing line.

If Baena did in fact make those comments, I hope he not only gets banned for several matches, I hope La Liga forces him to do some community service work helping out women who suffer miscarriages/pregnancy complications so Baena truly learns a lesson and understands how harmful/hurtful his comments he made towards Valverde were

  12. This is why there is no peace in this world because when people of influence can just say things without evidence and even if there was any truth to what Valverde is saying he is still wrong to punch Alex and should be charged for violence. To make myself clear I am in noway supporting Alex because if he indeed said that much he should be ashamed of himself.

  13. Is nobody questioning how they know what Baena said? Valverde never said it publicly, nobody caught Baena saying that on the pitch, and Baena publicly denied it. It’s probably just made up media stuff to make people sympathize with Baena. So unless Valverde says it’s what happened, you can’t throw Baena under the bus

  14. What are you guys talking about? This is exactly the same scenario in the wc 06 finals.. Zidane/materrazi! No matter what, you don't go physical on a verbal abuse.

  15. If Mitrovic gets suspended for 8 games for pushing a ref, then Valverde NEEDS to get suspended for 20 games. I do not care what other people say, you NEED to hold your emotions. You just simple don't punch other players. It's not the first time this has happened, he always thinks he's some sort of good player, and thinks he's better than everyone else. Vinicius does that too. They put a target on their backs…..and then get surprised when one gets racially abused and the other gets joked about…..then they ask for pity…PATHETIC players. Will never respect those 2.

  16. If Alex Baena did say what Valverde claims he said then that is a terrible thing to say to someone regarding their unborn child. However… If Valverde’s response is to hit Baena then he has to deal with the consequences of his actions. I’m not saying that I dont understand Valverde’s actions in response. He had to do what he had to do… But then he has to deal with the consequences. The reality is that you should never hit someone and expect not to be punished. If people were allowed to hit someone because someone said something terrible to them then all we’d be doing is fighting. There are rules of civility that exist. If Baena said those things then that is terrible but Valverde crossed the line and struck out physically. The reality is that the actual truth may never be known as to if Baena said anything like that to Fede. But Valverde now deserves to deal not only with the legal authorities but with La Liga, FIFA and whoever regarding football matters.

  17. You are the same people who protect Vinicius for his comments and behaviour. Many many players are tired of his non sense and want to punch him in the face, lets set a precedent here.
