Barry Ferguson laments for defending Ben Davies in the Rangers’ loss to the Celtic at Parkhead. A 3-2 Premiership win for champions puts them 12 points ahead of the Light Blues by seven games, and after dropping four points all season, a comeback in title race now looks highly unlikely. John Souttar’s loose back pass then scored Jota and another Tavernier goal for Rangers failed to pick up the pieces. And that second effort left Ferguson, former captain and Record Sport columnist, far from happy, telling Go Radio “Overall you can get some positive things out of this, but another hard defeat against Celtic. “But it was disappointing – the two goals they lost in the second half – because they can do much better. Especially in the second half it was a bad margin with the goal that put Celtic up 2-1.” “But he gets another opportunity and needs to do better. Give him your head and throw him out for the corner, get back in and defend. Too bad. “He’s not very good at raising the width, but raise your head anyway. That’s a really bad target to lose.”
