There is no way that City under Pep would buy a player and just sell him like that, without giving him a chance. The only way that happens is if it's a player who wasn't a Pep buy ie bringing Angelino back to City. Anyone who Pep buys is going to get a chance, even if they don't instantly hit the ground running. They have eighteen months to get up to speed, and they usually do, so all the nay sayers can do one. Phillips isn't going anywhere
One more season of KP. Hopefully he stays healthy through preseason and season. He lost way too much time of bedding in due to that injury this season. Lavia, just chill with him until 2024 and trigger that Buyback. If someone else gets him this summer, oh well. We move.
tbh I don't think he's been as bad as people make him out to be. I've seen that perception and expectation are incredibly important in the game, and since he had the shoulder surgery and came back overweight in addition to not starting much if at all, it seems like he's a terrible player, or at least one who can't play at City.
He had that game against Chelsea where he came on and sprayed something 14 long balls and completed all 14, and while that may not necessarily be standard to hold him to, that to me is a great sign. We're begging for players who can get the ball directly to our forwards, in particular Haaland, and he might be perfect for that. I've also seen him make some pretty good tackles in games that he's come on where the opposition have pressed for a goal.
He hasn't been spectacular by any means, but the fact that he has barely ever played and he's in his embedding season, but still having what's been imo decent cameos is actually promising. I think he'll be better than we think

If considering the fact that the clown Southgate picks him despite not playing minutes then we really are in trouble.
Hope he does well next year, but would much rather resign Lavia, he has looked great so far this season and will never understand why we let him go instead of being backup.
