Surely there's someone better in the market
They've been burnt by trying someone untested at he very highest level and Mourinho won't come til the summer so they are scrambling for an 'interim'…and who is going to come for 3 months? Gotta hand it to Chelsea though…even if its just a thought bubble, shows incredible loyalty to a player who was an icon at the club that they'd even consider him back for an interim job.
