A really good and honest offer for Messi. Barca know how much Messi coming back will impact Barca and Barca fans and the football world in general. Leo knows this as well. With this Barca team AND with Messi on our side, we can compete for the UCL again

Just like he used Messi to get elected, then made his stay untenable, he's using the same tactic again to deflect from the myriad scandals plaguing the institution.
He and his cohorts will then table an offer that would diminish Leo….an offer they know he can't accept…therefore making impossible for him to accept.

If I were Messi, I would consider taking the 400m offer for 1 yr, and then donating 100% of it to various charities that would help many, many people's lives – a gift to humanity, so to speak. And just for doing that, setting that wonderful example, maybe some of the world's other super rich might also be tempted to do something similar. And if Messi was actually to do this, and announce it publicly ahead of time, it would be in the news all that year. And then even his already incredible legacy would be improved, and the world be a better place, too.
