How many times have boxers come back from a loss with an easy defence including Fury. Nothing ever said, Franklin ain’t an easy fight to someone who has a new trainer, coming off of a loss.

It's not a problem to have lesser opponents in-between big fights, especially after a loss. All the greats did. People are unrealistic these days about that. But the 2 real problems are that they charge ppv for these lesser opponents, and most importantly, the fighters these days only have one or two fights a year, if that. If AJ lost to Uysk and then fought a Franklin level opponent in his next fight, but it was a couple months later and it wasn't a ppv (as well as ticket prices being lower). Then I wouldn't give a monkeys about it. But as it is, these fighters are taking the mick, and worst of all they don't even offset it by actually fighting the best or having the fights we want to see when they do bother to fight. Ali would fight lesser opponents, but he also fought all the big names and fought often. Today's heavyweights, in fact in every weight class, are a bunch of jokers.
