Finally. Never understood the hype he's a functional Premier League midfielder, Christmas came early for Leeds when Man City bought him £20/25m player. Christmas came early for Phillips too as almost to a man England managers pick players by the domestic club they play for which is why the public had to pressure Southgate to pick Maddison. I feel it was a mistake for Kalvin Phillips to go to Man City I get that he felt he needed to leave to Leeds but he should’ve went somewhere else only thing is City were the only team that came in for him if that was the case he’d been better staying with Leeds yeah he wouldn’t have the same wages or play in the Champions League etc but at least he would’ve been in the first team
All I'm going to say is Rodri his first year even not knowing the system he always gave good and precise passes and played where he needed yeah sometimes he got lost but it was never every single game. Philips has to evolve to a new height because now he is not even worth playing at the CC I'd rather have perrone or Sergio Gomez as CDM haha.
He is coming alright. First season at Man City, he can only grow from this he needs to make sure he gear up his performance when given a chance.. obviously I do feel like he needs to bring more energy and eagerness to play and claim his position..
