  1. It's against Luxembourg and Liechtenstein so I think he should start. As the rivals become stronger he can play the role of a super sub. Portugal has a strong squad which can win the euros if the manager acts smartly by knowing whom to play and with all due respect to Ronaldo he should understand that he can no longer go on for 90 mins but he could be super useful as a sub

  2. Pendu is included so he can bring the water bottles . If pendu starts Portugal won’t qualify for any major tournament. 0 goal contribution in the biggest stage of world football . Not even top 10 in my books

  3. Ofc they should … its the perfect time for him to win without help from the organization, everyone else i opting out 😂😂😂

Hopefully everyone opt out 2026 world cup, would glad for him to win the wc 😢

  4. The government has really made things more difficult for its citizens and we can't sit back and bear all the consequences of the bad governance. it's obvious we are headed for hyperinflation, it is always the poor who take the hit.

  6. just let it be, stop treating portuagl as if it's a big nation of football that is being held back from winning trophies by ronaldo

they have 3 world cup participations and no euro trophies before he played for them

if the team is going to be good, i think it happens with or without him there.

would love to see you guys caring about portugal this much when he retires, I doubt it

same as you cared about juve when he was there but then now, not so much.

  7. Nobody give a single… Phak.. what ESPN think especially when it comes to Ronaldo. We don't need your approval. The king play however he wants. So just shut up, you bunch of mediocre clown.

  8. Portugal is sacrificing their future for a finished footballer that will retire in 2 years. They should focus on developing young players for 2026 wc.

  9. Cristiano will play as long as he wants to and is fit. He is to Portuguese people what Messi is to Argentineans. If he feel like he isn't up for it he should retire then his nation will respect it due to it being his choice

  10. Crazy how nkunku not even mentioned. Man should b guaranteed starter along with mbappe in the attack. I'd take him over griezman although I wouldn't mind the three of them playing underneath the striker & I'd definitely play him over giroud in a few years time, you could use him as a false 9

  11. You can't brag about him on a regular basis nowadays so you managed to talk about him without seeing“ IF ” he plays good or not 🤣

  12. Isn't it obvious that Ronaldo is continuing to be picked so that he can reach 200 caps? He'd be the first man to do so and after that, I am sure he'll be quietly transitioned to a super-sub and then there will be a retirement

  13. Ramos should start as 9 for Portugal from now on.
European clubs decided to move on from Ronaldo. Fernando Santos decided the same during the WC. Roberto Martinez just arrived and has his hands tied on this.

  14. IMO Ronaldo SHOULD be included in the squad. He shouldn't be a starter against the big teams however. If he can inspire the youth and motivate the team without causing a storm and accept a Ibrahimovic-type role for Milan and be a super-sub, I think Portugal would be a dangerous team.
