European clubs decided to move on from Ronaldo. Fernando Santos decided the same during the WC. Roberto Martinez just arrived and has his hands tied on this.
IMO Ronaldo SHOULD be included in the squad. He shouldn't be a starter against the big teams however. If he can inspire the youth and motivate the team without causing a storm and accept a Ibrahimovic-type role for Milan and be a super-sub, I think Portugal would be a dangerous team.
