It wasn't just his hand, if that ref kept still and not walk backwards his head would have touched the refs head. A 7 game ban is a must.
Main Problem here is Mitrovic does have a Bad Boy Reputation in English Football, and This was just a horrible thing to do at the worst possible Time of the Game. However, now I think He will be Used as a Scapegoat for further incidents. I feel sorry for Fulham Fans, because they were let down by Mitro, and Marco Silva's Actions…

The premier leagues bias refereeing towards big clubs (esp Man U) and the ever so incompetence shown this year from VAR decisions to on-field misses is building up this tension with other clubs. Not this incident alone. Mitrovic behavior was not right but why are refs always protected while i.e. Saka gets literally beat down every single game. Where is player protection??
Btw how many players get any bans what so ever or repercussions for wreckless tackles that lead to possible injuries? A red is a red, period! A financial fine for the player, yeah. What possibly could have happened does really not matter. The intention is not the deciding reason but obviously scapegoating Fulham in order to protect corruption in football will be forever.
Pushing is not a serious action, if a referee didn't control the game bias for one side. Player and player often acting like this.
This is what happens when you allow players to spout off every call like they normally do every game. If refa handed out a yellow for insolence and moved play along this would not occur. It's the refs authorities' fault, plain and simple. Sure punish the player, but change your rules allowing everything up to this nonsense.

Indeed there are actually 2 red cards for Mitrovic. That would mean 6 games ban. But this was against a Ref, not a player…. So if we double the ban, it would lead us to 12 games ban.
So 12 games ban seem fair.

What a shame they've failed to make an example out of the referees through all these years.
If they did that they might have got some decent refs in by now, who might have spotted the blatant penalty Mitrovic should've got and then he might not have 'shoved' the referee.
3 red cards and still surrounding the ref. Only football allows refs to be treated like this. It has to be stopped .
If mitrovic gets a 10 match ban is ridiculous but in the same game Fernandes put His hands on the same referee and wasn't sent it just goes to show that refereeing in this country is scandalous and var is no better all these pundits saying he should get this he should get that who is Andy Townsend considering he was dirty player when he was at Chelsea they all talk out of there ass Fernandes should face punishment so it's ok for one to be banned and the other doesn't receive any punishment that isn't setting a good example for young kids watching if one should be banned then so should the other I forgot it's one rule for United players at old trashford
